I am co-founder and President of the Mike Jenkins Evangelistic Association. I am very happily married and have 3 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and a 3 yr old grandson. I travel the U.S. and internationally holding crusades, revivals, conferences, as well as speaking in public, private, and christian schools. I also speak in the toughest prisons in the U.S. and internationally. In the past 14 years I have spoken to over 1 million teens in school assemblies. I am honored to be mentioned with some of the top school assembly speakers today.I didn't get saved until I was 28. That was over 20 years ago. I started doing drugs at the age of 17 and for almost the next 11 yrs of my life, I was an addict. I dealt drugs for 8 yrs and ran with people who was involved in organized crime for 5 yrs. I became a convicted felon in 1983 for ripping off the U.S. government where I worked and I faced many years in prison. By the grace of God, I didn't have to go to prison. On August 3, 1984 I was in a bad accident while high out of my mind. My left foot was severely crushed and I stayed in the hospital for the next 20 months undergoing 27 surgeries to try to save my foot and leg from infection. On April 12, 1986 I was going to commit suicide because they were going to amputate my foot and leg. Before I could do anything a family walked in and shared the love of God with me and that day I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I got radically saved that day. God instantly set me free of drugs and they take me to surgery to do the amputation and found all the infection was gone. Since then I have been living for God and serving Him with all of my heart.
