After this weekend I am totally convinced that my New Years are cursed! At 1:32 am Sunday morning we lost power..the whole town! It did not come back on until around 9:15 pm Monday night. Luckily, my parents have a gas furnace in their old house so them, my brother and his family, and I have been there since early Sunday. I do count my blessings that we had heat and the ability to have warm food. Most of western ks (where I'm at) was with out power..and my town was the last in the county to lose it. So, it deffinately could have been way worse.
I haven't had a good New Years since I was 18 (new years 99 going to 2000). I was so trashed that night I was severly hungover ALL DAY the next day! After that the rest of the new years were all down hill. My first legal New Years, when I was 21, I was home all day and night with the flu! No, not the bottle flu...the actual flu. I thought it couldn't get any worse than that..this year proved me wrong. The years in between were just total duds for sure.
