Community Moderation |
---|
Fubar.com is a community-moderated site. Fubar Bouncers cannot be everywhere, as much as they try to be. By responsibly and appropriately flagging your own content (whether it be Blogs, Mumms, Pics, etc...), you make their jobs a little easier. By reporting NSFW content you come across, you do your part. | Please know that everything that gets reported is reviewed by a Fubar Bouncer.
Anything that is reported is not flagged until it has been fully reviewed by a Bouncer.
The revieweing Bouncer has the final say on whether to flag the content or clear the content from being reviewed. | Also: be aware that while the person you flag has no reliable way of knowing it was you who reported their content, Bouncers are able to determine this with 100% accuracy. The Bouncers will not rat anyone out, but if they find you are flagging someone's content (whether it be pics, blogs or mumms) purely out of spite, envy or malice, you risk losing your Fubar.com account, irrevocably. Your VIP status, level, and rank does not factor into this equation. |

| What happens when a picture is marked NSFW? |
---|
From a technical standpoint, NSFW content you own is invisible to people who aren't on your friend list. It also will not show up for people who are level 0 (Freshmeat), or people who have the "Show NSFW content" flag in their settings turned off (set to "No"). NSFW Folders can only be seen by those who are on your friends list. | Content that is marked NSFW will also not show up in the "recent" pages on the site (pictures will not appear in "Recent Photos," global MuMMs will not appear in the "Recent MuMMs" list, etc.). | In addition, photos marked NSFW cannot be ripped, submitted as a salute, set as a profile background image or set as a "Primary Image". This is why it is important to mark your NSFW pictures, even if those pictures are in private folders. Someone on your friends list with access to the photo can rip it and use it as his or her primary picture. When that happens and that picture gets marked NSFW, you will also receive a notification that your picture was marked NSFW (in fact, any copies of that picture on Fubar that were ripped from you will also be marked). | Bouncers do this to keep that picture you took of your girlfriend / boyfriend on that special night from floating across the "Online Members Bar" (The floating images at the top of all Fubar.com pages, which shows the primary pictures of people who are currently online. |

| What if I have something that I believe is sfw? What should I do?? |
---|
- If you believe you have something you think needs looked at, the correct procedure is as follows:
- Go to the Help Page to contact a bouncer.
- When Choosing this you can either send a Fubar Bouncer a shout or a private message.
- Please send the Bouncer you chose a fully detailed message (include links if applicable).
- This option should be first on your agenda to get something reviewed / looked at.
- The next step if a Bouncer does not reply in a timely manner is to go to the Fubar Support Lounge.
- Most Bouncer's will be busy helping Members in the Support Lounge.
- Politely wait your turn (a bouncer may be busy helping someone else), when it is your turn ask that bouncer nicely if they will review the nsfw item in question
(Their Reply will most likely be: "?whoever?: Please Send link me to the Item you want reviewed / looked at. Thank You"). If the image is in a private folder you may need to add that bouncer as a friend or give them access to the folder the image is located in. - Please Do Not Post Links in the "Support Lounge", It will most likely get you Silenced, Ejected or Banned.
- For both options listed above Please allow the bouncer some time to fully review the item (sometimes they may be asking another bouncer for a second opinion. If it's deemed SFW you will receive an automatically generated private message from the Fubar Office page stating that particular item was unmarked. If the bouncer deems that the item is actually NSFW (a valid flag), that bouncer will explain in their best knowledge why it is NSFW.
- Please Be Advised: Bouncers are not obligated to unmark anything set as NSFW, even if you believe it is safe for work. Also, bouncers will not go searching through any folder to clear flags from. You must provide them with the link.
- Also Note: Bouncers have the final say of whether the item is SFW or truly NSFW. Please Do Not Go Bouncer To Bouncer, this will truly do nothing but cause headaches.
