I have confidential information from a client I work with regarding their status with us (they are going to switch to our competitor) but have been told specifically by the client not to say anything to anyone at my job...if they leave, it will be a big revenue loss for my employer. Reactive--Do i keep my mouth shut (like my friend who gave me the info told me to) or Proactive-- tell my employer(with the hopes we can please the client and make them stay)? It WILL get back to the client if I say something to my employer, and the person who told me WILL KNOW it was me. |
