Horse-kicking jockey suspended, fined / Associated Press Posted: 2 minutes ago A jockey who kicked his horse in the stomach before a race was suspended for 30 days and fined $1,000 by Philadelphia Park officials on Monday. The decision against veteran jockey Victor Molina came three days after his 40-minute disciplinary hearing for kicking 2-year-old colt Yes Yes Ohyes. Molina, a 27-year veteran who's been racing at Philadelphia Park since 1988, hoped for only a fine and was surprised by the severity of the penalties issued by the track's stewards. "The kick wasn't what I'm about," Molina said by phone. "The penalty doesn't warrant what I did. I got punished a little harder than other ones. I think most people around the track, if you asked them, would say it was a little too harsh. People in the industry wouldn't judge me the way I've been judged." Molina's agent, David Yannuzzy, said he was considering an appeal. The suspension was retroactive to June 19 — the day after Molina was ejected from the park — and continues to July 18. Yannuzzy blamed the officials for overreacting because Molina's kick was simulcast to tracks around the country and was live on racing channel TVG, prompting fans who saw the act to call the track and complain. "They felt the people pulling the slots would be upset if he didn't get enough time," Yannuzzy said. "This is not the first time horses have been hit by jockeys at races. Every time it's a $250 fine. That's it. But they said, 'Oh, we had all these hits on e-mail and TV."' Messages left at Philadelphia Park for track officials were not immediately returned, and a spokesman said the stewards had been asked not to comment on the decision. Molina said the feisty horse flipped in the starting gate last Monday and his head struck the jockey flush in the chest. Molina's chest went numb and he lost his cool. Once Yes Yes Ohyes was scratched from the race, Molina removed the saddle and kicked the colt's belly. Molina said the pain and threat of injury triggered his temper. "I know there's been a lot of attention because it was on TV," Molina said. "I'm not trying to justify it. I shouldn't have done what I did. Did I hurt the horse? Did I try and hurt the horse? That's not what I did." The colt was gelded last week. Molina has apologized to the owners, track officials and fans, and volunteered to talk to the media to show his remorse. Molina said he was he embarrassed that the kick stained what was a virtually unblemished reputation and record. "I would have hoped they took into consideration my record and everything else," he said. "To say people aren't going to come and bet because I kicked a horse, that's not going to happen. I'm sorry. Vanessa is my 4 year old niece. On June 9th she had her very first dance recital. It really meant a lot for me to be there for her since my Aunt Diane (died at age 31 when I was 8) was there for me and my dance recitals. I can clearly remember her walking up to the stage to give me flowers, just like I intended to do for Vanessa. Anyway, I drove up to my brother's house with my parents before the show. It was up in Bergen County somewhere...very far from home! Chuck (my oldest brother) showed us a tape of her dress rehearsal which was the Thursday before. It was so cute watching a group of like 15 4year olds who had no clue what they were doing. The costumes were adorable, white feathers hanging off the sequins. During the video, the girls started ripping the feathers off of each others costumes! Parents started to yell because they were like $80 and they still had to wear them for the show. The group of girls got together for a picture with a photographer, and the girl next to Vanessa started to cry. Vanessa looked at her and gave her a face, then looked down and was horrified! She made the funniest face ever...the little girl had an accident on the floor. Saturday...I was annoyed. I wanted to go see Vanessa so badly and bring her flowers, but I knew that I was letting other people down. I was supposed to go to work that day...postponed it, and also Christine's bridal shower (I am SO SORRY!) It was hot as hell, we had a long ass ride up North, and I had a headache (so what else is new~my new BFF is Bayer). To make a long story short, I became crankier when this man sat right in front of me in the auditorium with his BIG HEAD! I had to constantly look around him, probably pissing off the old folks behind me. Vanessa was Act #16 out of 47! There were acts added into the show that weren't in the program. I heard an awesome song that I would want to buy and can't because it wasn't on the program. Great! Add that to my list. (Sorry. My A.D.D was kicking in again, I know I was rambling) So, her group came out on stage and everybody was "AAAHHHHING" at how adorable they looked. Vanessa's little dance partner refused to finish the dance where they have to hold hands and spin. Vanessa danced by herself and then she stopped and started to crouch down. I instantly thought that she was having an accident like the little girls she was making faces at on the video. Music stopped. Little girls ran off the stage to make room for the next act. Except Vanessa REFUSED to leave the stage. She was on there and you can see hands from behind the curtain trying to call her off. Everybody in the audience was laughing. The teacher had to come out and take her by the hand as she skipped and waved and blew the audience kisses. OH BOY!!! We tease my bro all the time because she loves to be naked, in high heels, and dances! All that's missing is a pole! As I watched her leave the stage, I got all choked up and teary eyed thinking about how I don't want to miss out on her growing up and I know I was where I needed to be that day. I miss my aunt everyday and still think about her. I don't want to regret anything. My little girl is growing up too fast!

For all my Soprano heads... contemplate this forward.. Anybody who says "nothing happened on the Sopranos" is completely missing out on the ending! This is NOT a life goes on ending! And anyone who thinks so should go back and watch it again. Watch the last scene of The Blue Comet (the 2nd to last episode) first. As Tony sits on the edge of the bed he contemplates his demise. Then, there's the flashback to Tony and Bobby in the boat discussing being whacked, "You probably never hear it coming." Remember when Tony was speaking with Bobby...basically saying that you don't see or hear death? It just happens and you would never feel it.....aka fading to black..... Fast forward to Tony in "Made In America" final scene. So, the point would have been that life continues and we may never know the end of the Sopranos. But if you pay attention to the history, you will find that all the answers lie in the characters in the restaurant. The trucker was the brother of the guy who was robbed by Christopher in Season 2. Remember the DVD players? The trucker had to identify the body. As Tony walks in the door of Holstein's he looks into the diner and sees nobody from his family. He is the first to arrive. The there is a very odd cut. The camera cuts back to Tony's face looking into the diner and then cuts back to the diner where, if by magic, Tony is now sitting. This odd cut is provided to show us that "cut to Tony's face means the audience = Tony's perspective." Fast Forward to AJ arriving. The are two black youths weren't these guys the ones who tried to kill Tony and only clipped him in the ear, circa season 2 or 3? And the "Members only" guy at the bar. This guy is credited as Nicky Leotardo. The same actor played him in the first part of season 6 during a brief sit down concerning the future of Vito. That wasn't that long ago. Apparently, he is the nephew of Phil. Phil's brother Nicky Senior was killed in 1976 in a car accident. Tony takes a look at both. After the "members only" guy walks to the restroom we see a close-up of Tony anticipating Meadow to walk through the door - again - Tony's perspective. Absolutely incredible!!!! There were three people in the restaurant who had reason to kill Tony and then it just ends. This was Chase's way of proving that he will not escape his past. It will not go on forever despite that he would like it to ......"DON'T STOP" --- BELIEVING.... Suddenly CUT to black, music stops, black screen for several seconds. Tony (and the audience) got WHACKED - and he didn't hear it coming. It is crystal clear and not open to interpretation. WE GOT WHACKED! Chase is showing Tony's perspective. Tony's finished...and Chase is truly rewarding the true fans who pay attention to detail.

IF A MAN WANTS YOU If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache. Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be. Slower is better. Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. Oh Lord! If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you. All men are NOT dogs. You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two-way street. You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship. You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary... not supplementary. Dating is fun... even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right. Make him miss you sometimes... when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him -- he takes it for granted. Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others. Share this with other ladies..... I got called out of work at 11am this morning, as I got a phone call from the secretary at my mom's school. She told me how she was sick, her blood pressure was really high, and that if I couldn't come get her and take her to a doctor, then they were calling an ambulance or would take her themselves. I obviously left school, thank goodness I had a workshop today, and no kids, and picked her up. I took her to the hospital where they were worried she was going to have a stroke. I don't want to rehash the whole hospital experience, but she is ok. She is home and the doctor said she was fine. She has to go to at last 2 more doctors tomorrow, her primary and we're trying to find a neurologist. They want her to have an ultrasound done on her carotid artery to make sure that she is fine. Please say a prayer for her. I'm exhausted, but trying to keep positive. Why do parents have to get older??
