What are you waiting for?

A little bit of intrigue is sometimes established by our own walls. Letting down those walls at times enable others to see just a little bit more of ourselves. I suppose a litle intrigue is good. The question becomes just how much of a wall to keep remaining up to be on guard from potential hurt????

Part of getting unsick...

is taking inventory of things around you. While sick, I just slept on the couch and in my bed for the greater majority of the time, with a few exceptions of braving a few moments of sitting up at the computer. Last week, while recovering, I took it easy still while reporting back to work by sleeping much of the moments I was at home. Unfortunately, that didn't get things done around the home. Part of the hazards of living alone now is there is no one there to help pick up the slack. :( After all, part of the joy of having a spouse is being there for one another and working as a team. Too bad I can't call my daughter to help come to my rescue!! lol... With her working and being pregnant, that is about all she can think of right now and that is the way it should be. I look around...
some trash bags are filled and readied to be dragged out to the complex's dumpster.... dishwasher needs to be emptied... a few dishes needs to be put in the dishwasher... refrigerator needs to be cleaned out.... litter boxes for the cats need to be cleaned out... carpets need vacuuming... and some washing needs to be done.
Nothing too bad. Just two weeks of being sick has taken the toll on my home. Unfortunately, I am working a shift and a half today. Probably, won't see a bit of cleaning opportunity until tomorrow. Any volunteers to help????

Trying to Spread the Joy!!

Trying to spread the joyous news to all of my CT friends in between calls tonight; however, I don't think I am going to make it to everyone. :( I am working and trying to spread the word in between crisis calls. Help me to spread the word!!! :D

My voice is 99.9% back! Yea!!! I hated being sick. It was so frustrating. Still taking it easy so it doesn't re-occur; so many of my coworkers have been through the whole stint twice. I am determined not to go down that road for sure!! Just wanted to check in with all of my dear friends and let you know that I was thinking about you all and I am alive and kicking and feeling soooo much better now. Hooray!!! I trust that this finds you well as well and, hopefully, you have been unscathed by this whole sickness that swept across so briskly. Drop me a line when you can. I look forward to hearing from you again soon. Oh......... Don't forget we "spring ahead" tonight timewise, losing that extra hour. TTYML.... and (((HUGS))) Kat

Morning Prayer

Stars do not struggle to shine, rivers do not struggle to flow, and you will never struggle to excel in life, because you deserve the best. Hold on to your dream and it shall be well with you... Amen.
The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hand that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever, remain in God's love. Good morning, Your dream will not die, your plans will not fail, your destiny will not be aborted, and the desire of your heart will be granted in Jesus' name. Say a big Amen and if you believe it, send it to all your friends. Money will know your name and address before the end of this month. If you believe, send it back to all your friends. None goes to the river early in the morning and brings dirty water. As you are up this morning, may your life be clean, calm and clear like the early morning water. May the grace of the Almighty support, sustain and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Amen. Love the Lord. Have a wonderful day in Jesus' name. The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you. I see something good happening to you, something that you have been waiting to experience. This is not a joke; you are going to receive a divine visitation that will move your life forward mightily by the outworking of God's unstoppable Power. Do not break this prayer; send it to a minimum of seven people. You are blessed beyond all curses in Jesus' name!
I think that I just might have found out what has been causing the virus. I blew out what looked close to a slug bug (you know...the ewey gooey part of a snail).... it was just as long.... it was just as thick... it was just as gooey... and it appeared to have a vein of sorts in this ewey gooey green slimey mess. I just knew that I probably should have rushed it off to the University of Texas labs for further scientific exploration. Mentioned this to one of my coworkers who started having the virus about a week before I started and she said.... that she had the same thing when she woke up for the last few days. She advised me that I would be having this scientific phenomena for the next few days. Just great!!!! In addition to a few more days (hopefully, just a few more days) of trying to regain my voice back 100%, I get to have this scientific phenomena for the next few days as well. Just lovely..... LOL...
Got to admit.... It has a very good message.... Use it wisely!! :D
"If we had no winter, spring would not be so pleasant; If we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." ~Anne Bradstreet, 17th Century poet It is not our difficulties that create pain in our lives but rather our adverse reaction to them. When we start recognizing every difficulty as a blessing in disguise changes begin to take place within and life naturally becomes more joyful. May you always be willing to see the blessing in everything. And may you be aware that you are loved beyond measure and a cherished blessing to me. Sexy Arrest

DAMMIT...I'M SO FREAKIN' MAD!!! I GOT ARRESTED TODAY FOR POSSESSION OF OVER THE LEGAL LIMITS OF GOOD LOOKS. THEY'RE HOLDING ME AT THE STATION, SAYING THAT ONLY A SEXY PERSON CAN BAIL ME OUT. SO...YOU COMIN' OR WHAT?!? SEND THIS TO YOUR SEXIEST FRIENDS...INCLUDING THE ONE WHO SENT IT TO YOU (IF YOU THINK THEY'RE SEXY OF COURSE *WINK* ;) ). IF YOU GET THIS BACK AT LEAST TEN TIMES IT MEANS THAT YOU'RE SUPER SEXY!

Small Steps of Joy....

Over the past couple of weeks, I have felt lousy and even came down with the dreded virus last week. Working on regaining my voice back although I am feeling much better on the whole. Frustration can get the best of me, but the other day (Tuesday), I was driving to work and finally was able to sing along with the radio singing Rich Mullin's "Step by Step". The lyrics, for those who aren't familiar with the song goes as:
Oh God, You are my God And I will ever praise You Oh God, You are my God And I will ever praise You I will seek You in the morning And I will learn to walk in Your ways And step by step You'll lead me And I will follow You all of my days Oh God, You are my God And I will ever praise You Oh God, You are my God And I will ever praise You I will seek You in the morning And I will learn to walk in Your ways And step by step You'll lead me And I will follow You all of my days And step by step You'll lead me And I will follow You all of my days
Of course, it was only as good as a quality for my ears only as I didn't say that I was on pitch; just had enough capacity in my lungs to sing that much at least. Last night, I was able to sing along with Belinda Doolittle when she sang "WOMAN" on the American Idol. It was a bit more on pitch and with a bit more lung capacity. Not quite there yet, though!! Thank goodness for my small joys, though. I am so grateful for those small joys; none of which can be taken from me although I am probably the only one that appreciates such small joys at this time. :) As frustrated as I am that I can't have my voice 100% back yet, I dance a small jig this morning with the pleasures of the small joys that I am able to enjoy so far. Hoping that you are enjoying whatever small joys that you might be having today as well!!!
