| I've been doing alot of reading lately on some of the projects our government is working on for future technologies, and half of these sound absolutely ridiculous. One project has had millions spent on it, and it is an elevator to the moon, made from a "glass" byproduct that is supposed to have increased stability. Another project they are spending billions on is a station in the desert where they are building a gigantic tesla coil to shoot lightning. In the state that our economy is in, wouldn't the money be better spent at the moment on the people that are less monetarily endowed? How about not hitting our taxes next year on that check they are supposed to be sending out this year? How about an additional amount being sent? If they curbed these projects and spent less on the products they use on a day to day basis then they would be better able to stimulate the economy by providing the blue collar workers with more available spending money. What do you guys think? |
