WWE Wrestler Chris Benoit bound his wife's hands and feets on Friday, and strangled her to death in their family room. He then smothered his 7-year-old son late Friday or early Saturday in the boy's own bed. A bible was placed by each victim's body.
Benoit called the WWE on Saturday to say he would be missing his weekend engagement due to a 'family emergency; his son was coughing up blood.' He then sent strange text messages to a co-worker. Later in the day, it is suspected he went to his basement gym and hung himself with some workout equipment.
Prescription medications, but no suicide note, were found in Benoit's Atlanta area home. The WWE has put out a press release saying that the act of displaying the bibles by Benoit is a sign that his actions were not due to taking steriods.
