Eyes ablaze with nervous fear
The anger of an un-provoked voice
Not allowed to make a choice
Should I fight or shed a tear
Confused for lack of a better word
How can this feeling be so strong
What could I have done wrong
Which lesson have I not learned?
Forgive me you ask
Did not mean to hurt
Second chances are covert
Tall order for such a short task
Calling the law is a start
But what awaits me in the end
How can a soul defend?
The evil in that heart
Away I run with my life in tow
Looking to hide in a crowded world
Its turmoil in a swirl
