So my boyfriend and I acquired a cat about 3 years ago, as a cute little kitten (found by my ex boss' mom thrown out of a car window, unharmed of course) and we took him in and has given him the best of everything that we can afford... Goes without saying we are not rich.. But who is these days?... Anyway... he has developed quite a serious urinary issue. Without too much detail its already been about $1400 in the last month alone with no clear end to the problem. We have to give him pills everyday and make sure he's peeing excessively, give him a certain diet... whole nine yards. My boyfriend, who might I add works OUT OF TOWN 5 nights a week is hell bent on keeping him in the house under our care. While I sit at home everyday to feed him meds... watch him suffer while walking about the apartment... and try my hardest not to scream when the cat randomly pees on all of my belongings.. the bed.. my couch.. the mats on the floor... etc. Oh and I failed to mention this cat was not quite welcome in our new apartment ( we haven't been here long) so that makes it even harder to tolerate the potty fails.

Basically what this mumm boils down to is that my boyfriend finds me heartless that I would rather the vet adopt our poor cat and give him all the attention and treatment he needs without completely emptying our pockets.

If this was you...
A. Would you throw caution and expense out the window

or

B. Would you opt to leave the cat in more capable arms?
