Comfort Me
I place my head against your breast,
and feel your kiss against my brow.
Then close my eyes that I might rest
in the comfort that you give me now.
A calm comes over troubled spirit,
warmth envelopes head to toe.
I feel your strength and reach out to it,
peace of mind I soon shall know.
I take your hand and walk through meadow,
feel gentle wind against my face.
The sun shines bright and castes our shadow,
across the path that we shall take.
Lifetime of friendship and respect
with the lovely one I know.
Feelings shared with one select,
upon whose heart I do bestow....
this poetry with love.
