I also found the need to power hike some of the uphill terrain I would normally run. The cushion and wave combination provided a semi soft ride that felt smooth and responsive.
Nike Flyknit air max partially protects your foot from moisture with a transparent coating around the lace holes, the inside of your foot. I found that this x-groove created a lot of instability in the shoe and gave the mid foot too much room to move. While the upper and overall fit of the shoe all left a bit to be desired, the cushioning and Lunar platform is probably where you’ll have the most complaints. The comfort and protection of the Nike Flyknit air max are certainly appropriate for a recreational type trail running shoe. The overall feel of Nike Flyknit air max is quite soft, which would certainly hamper protection on highly rugged and technical trails, but is more than adequate for runs on more groomed surfaces where the only hazards are the occasional rock or root. The Mizuno Wave Kazan is one of two new trail shoes Mizuno will be offering in 2014.
Nike Flyknit air max is also meant to cradle and protect the heel agains excessive movement which i was able to feel while running in the shoe and it did what it is intended to do. For those who don’t have these issues, the Wave Kazan will make a decent if not outstanding general-purpose trail shoe, particularly for those who prefer a soft flexible ride.
On the other hand, the nike flyknit air max sale uk is really only suitable for terrain that most general-purpose road shoes could easily handle. Agility was also a challenge to evaluate given the fit problems. In principle, the moderately low forefoot height should help with stability. I was SO excited to test out these shoes because before them, I’d only run in one other trail running shoe.
