My house leaked, so I had it appraised. I was told by my insurance company that I needed to have my roof replaced or I would loose my homeowners insurance. I promptly spent $10,000 to have it completely replaced and fitted with a brand new cut to order metal roof.

After completion I was told by the company that they still would not reinsure my policy.

Does this sound like fair or unfair practice ?
