last night was a weird night. i kep waking up thinking that i forgot something. then at like 2130 it dawned on me that i forgot to turn my clock back an hour. i slept like a rocck last night. the ship was rocking pretty good. one of these days im gonna fall our of my rack. so i started working out las night. i felt pretty good. did some push ups, sit ups, and pull ups. then i ran two miles. i didnt feel too bad afterwards. then i went down to the sonar skid room and hit the heavy bag for a couple of mins. until my skin broke at least. then i had to stop. you know, im sitting here, watching this german ship and they look like they are rocking and rolling pretty bad. their forcastle is just getting pounded. their screws almost come out of the water. i would hate to see them in really bad seas. there ship is pretty cool looking. lot of smooth lines. not blockey at all. they have this massive long distance radar that just looks mean as hell. the best part of that ship is the bar on the messdekcs. if our navy did that, there would be a lot less alcohol related incidents when we are in port. cause sometimes when you are working, you just need a beer. i hate this watch. did i tell you that already? so, the problem with all these entries is that you wont get them on a daily basis the way i would like to give them to you. the internet doesnt work all the time. and since cherrytap has a milion things to load, when the inernet does work, it takes a long tikme to load. but i will get them to you as fast as i can. and dont forget you can always email me on board.

so, canada. pretty cold there. thats where we were for 8 days. that was the longest port visit ever. and it had to be in canada. why canada? why not some place warm? anyway, i didnt go out that much. just to eat. except friday. friday was a drinking day. the canadian ship next to us threw a part that we were invited to. on board their ship, on their messdecks, they have a full bar.i was drinking for 3 hours. for free. didnt spend a dime. so, after that, we went to a bar. there was a live band. it was great. other than that, we didnt do anything. the only things you could do there was drink and gamble. since i didnt want to lose money, i didnt gamble. even though i wanted to do the 2 cent slots. i didnt. who knows what kind of trouble i would have gotten in. have i told you how much i hate this watch? well, alot. we dont do anything. its so boring, this watch makes me want to sleep. im not sure if its the chair or the fact that nothing goes on. maybe both. so, im sitting here looking for a german ship that is right behind us. the problem with that is, the camera cant see behind us because of the superstructure. so, once again, i have nothing to do. again. and when i have nthing to do, i get tired. and obviously, when people get tired, they want to sleep. but i cant sleep. and now this guy sitting next to me, wont shut the fuck up. like i care. but oh well. i cant wait till august. no more navy. this shit really sucks. i just want to go home for good. the navy sucks huge donkey dick. you ever had to work with someone this is just so retarted, they should have been killed at birth? well, i work with two of those people. and they both drive me nuts. and i have to turn over WCS with the dumber one. he is just gonna fuck shit up. but oh well. he hasnt asked me to train him. so im not. im not gonna do anything until he asks. i only have 1 hour left of watch. so im gonna read my book. hope you enjoyed this.

hey everyone, since this is my first blog, ill just go through with the introduction, of myself. my name is Devin. no last name required. i am married to a beautiful wife and i have a wonderful son who is 1 year old. i am in the united states navy and stationed onboard a ship. you wouldnt realize how lonely it gets on board. you figure im with 349 other people all the time. yes that is true. but that does not make it easier. when i am underway it gets very lonely. if you would like to see pics, i will gladly post them in my albums. anyways, i have to stand watch when im underway. and when i stand that watch, i like to write in a "journal" to pass the time. you see, when we stand watch, we arent allowed to do alot of things. i can sometimes get away with reading, but not usually. so i write and no one says anything. there isnt just one thing i write about. i write about everything and anything. the only times i write are when im underway. so there maybe be times when you dont hear from me for a couple days or even months at a time. but since i am getting out of the navy, you might hear from me a little more often later on in the year. so if your interested, feel free to read and respond to my blogs. i like knowing that the world is watching and listening. and of course if you need someone to talk to, you can always email me at letonad@ddg72.navy.mil
