Hi my name is Theresa. I am a 24 year old who has, for some crazy reason, choosen a career as a correctional officer. I love what I do very much, but I am missing my nice easy 8 hour shifts like you would not believe. I am a single mother to an absolutly amazing little man named Joseph, however you will rarely hear anyone call him by name, to me he will alway's be boogie or turkey, my father refers to him a squirel butt and at the daycare everyone calls him JO-JO. I am glad to say that at least for now I am cancer free! Those of you new to my page might need a little update. I was diagnosed with uterian and cervical cancer about a year ago. After 4 minor little precedures trying to remove the cancer it was finally determined that at 24 years old I would indeed be having a hysterectomy. Not for one minute did I let that get me down I know that God never gives me anything that I can't handle. Joey is now more than ever my little miricale. Don't think for a minute though that children are no longer part of my future. I was able to keep my eggs and will someday be looking for a serigate. I learn more about myself everyday and learn just how strong and wonderful I really am. I am by no means concieted or overconfident, I just realize God has saved me too many times for me not to be special in some way. My life is pretty much devoted to my family and my career, I don't have time to go have fun but you know what that is just fine with me. In the end being the life of the party isn't going to mean anything it's being part of life that matters and right now I have a DAMN GOOD ONE. And I thank God everyday for allowing me to continue to live it.
