I recently lost my health insurance because I am taking a semester off of school. I am now working as a part time photographer, (photography is my major) and I don't get health insurance. I am looking for a second job so that I can move into my own apartment. I have applied at a factory position and their benefits start the day you start work. My problem is deciding if the hours would be worth it.
My hours would be from 10 am - 2 pm and from 6 pm to 6 am. Now with the driving I would leave my house at 9 am get back to my house at 3 pm, leave at 5 pm, come back home at 7 am, leave at 9 am etc. on a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule at the factory.
My question is would it be worth it in the long run to get the factory position so that I can have the benefits, or is there a better way? I need a second job because the first isn't going to pay the bills right now but it will help me with my major. I just don't know if I should keep looking for a different job or go with the factory position. |
