What are you waiting for?

The "KISS Army March on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" took place on August 5, 2006. A production company was there to cover the event and it is being released on DVD this coming spring. You may see coverage of it and the plans for next years March at: www.kissarmyunites.com We are going back to Cleveland August 3rd and 4th, 2007. Join us! You will also learn of my Letter Campaign by seeing that page or my web site on My Space: www.myspace.com/authorof11thcommandment How many of you thought KISS was already in the Hall of Fame? They along with many other deserving bands have been over looked for years by the induction committee. We plan to March every year on the Hall. In an attempt to not only get KISS inducted but to also get changes made in the way the Hall handles nominations and inductions. They have been bias with their choices for too long and it must not continue. Even after KISS is inducted we have plans to meet yearly as a KISS Army reunion.
KISS fans. Submit your letters now. The idea came to me to begin a letter writing campaign. I ran it by Kim Rolfe (The imperial Princess of the Kiss Army ...she's one of our March on the Hall of Fame promoters). Anyway people here's how it works. You send an email to me at this address: thekissarmywantskissinducted@yahoo.com Your email is actually a letter written directly to the Induction Commitee at the Hall of Fame. Do not write it to me. Write it to them. Dear induction commitee, (Your words here) Sincerely (Your name) You then email it to me. At: thekissarmywantskissinducted@yahoo.com I will then turn your emailed letter into a printed document. An actual "letter". These letters will then be placed together. Then handed directly to the induction commitee when Kim Rolfe, Kristine Connell, and myself go to New York in May for the 2007 KISS EXPO. The 3 of us will represent all of you and make it known that we "The Kiss Army" are serious about wanting to see Kiss inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This idea will only work if I receive letters via that email address. That way it is documented that each were official and sent by actual individual persons. Listen folks. We need these letters. They are important to making our point with the committee. So the more letters we hand deliver in New York, the more the committee will see that we are serious. So get to typing and send me your letter. Your content can be simple and to the point. Just tell the committee why you feel Kiss should be in the Hall of Fame. It could be for a number of reasons. 1. You feel that the band has been an inspiration to your life in some way. 2. You feel that due to the incredible amount of fans world wide a band like Kiss belongs in the Hall. 3. You may say something about the amount of record sales Kiss has. 4. You may mention the fact that KISS has been a world wide touring group for more years than some of the already inducted bands were even together as a band. Playing to sold out arenas and venues all over the world. 5. You may mention that Kiss has been a world wide known recording artist that has influenced many Rock and Roll bands since their debut. 6. You may mention some thing totally out of your own mind. In your very own words. But remember...We are doing this to attempt to get Kiss inducted. It may or may not work. But this idea is worth a shot. So get those letters typed and emailed now. The more letters we receive and take to New York... the more of a point we all are making. We've set a deadline date for letter acceptance. I must have all letters emailed to me no later than May 1, 2007. Oh please remember this also. We are not out to make enemies with the commitee. Do not use words that will degrade any of the members in any way. Name calling and threats will not be tolerated. We are trying to show the committee that we ae a group of very pleasant people who simply feel that Kiss has been robbed of their induction for too long now. It's Kissin' Time. Induct Kiss. What do you mean "you are not a Kiss fan"? Well I'll be damned. You took the time to read my entire statement up to this point. So something must have kept your attention. Well listen if you are not a Kiss fan. Let's not forget that the band you are a fan of may be eligible for induction some day. If not already. An idea such as this could be promoted and made to work by members of your band's fan club. Just as we of the Kiss Army are doing. So if you are not a Kiss fan and don't want to submit a letter on behalf of Kiss, at least help us out by spreading the word of what we are doing. One of my poems.....

To My Children (In poetic form) Joshua: It was you who gave me the reason to quit I drank all the time without giving a shit Until the day I heard you cry "Daddy's drunk again" with tears in your eyes You were only 4 years old When you said those words You've given me strength not to drink anymore I've been sober now for 12 and a half years You all were so young then when I drank rum and beers I drank every day from morning till night Of course it did cause me and mom to fight She stood beside me though I did her wrong By being a mean drunk and not getting along I've grown up since then in a sober way I have you to thank for those words from that day You're growing into such a fine young man And very smart I must say Your ability to write stories from imagination Will make you well known someday I have no doubts you will become A man known to the world Through writings that flow from your mind Through books for boys and girls Zachary: Our sweet little boy born so premature You're still smaller than others your age Your life has been tough I know that is true And I understand your rage Mom never treated you like all the rest I never will understand why She was so strict with you and kept you inside It made both you and I cry Each time I would tell her she had to change We just ended up in a fight So I sent you a few times to live somewhere else Because I knew that was right So you lived with your grandparents And with your Aunt At their homes you could play But at our home your mom said "No" So I had to send you away I'm sure you've become the man that you are From memories of the way you were treated You act out in anger alot now and then I feel that your mother created Yet inside that mind of anger and tears Is a son who I love quite a bit I know things are tough I know you've been hurt I know that you don't give a shit But you will when you have grown I know you'll be better someday I love you Zach With all my heart You are allowed to go out to play Cascandra: My beautiful daughter is growing up fast Do I have to chase boys away Not with this one I'm glad to report I trust her in so many ways I thought that I'd have a hard time with this But things seem to be working out She's a very smart girl She knows right from wrong I love her and I have no doubt She speaks out so strongly Against drugs and drink I don't have to worry at all She's careful as to who She chooses as friends I have no doubts she would call If she's anywhere that they are Doing things wrong I know that my phone will ring She'll say to me "Daddy come pick me up" I will and then she will sing She sings all the time Well actually All of my children do Just like their daddy does all of the time And just like their mommy used to Alexandria: Shes growing up quick My baby girl A cheerleader there at her school She played in the band And sings in the chorus My daughter is really so cool A mean attitude she has in her mind She gets it from me I guess It seems to be easier just To get mad When life hands us items of stress But we'll find a way to Handle the pain And the anger that is deep within We all need to learn to deal With the things that piss us off again She's tough this girl that I adore Yet behind the tough is tears We all cry sometimes about life And what we've been through in years Years gone by are memories now That seem to be there each day She tries as I do to live for now But the memories won't go away So anger and tears break out of the mind Inside her and me She and I are much alike We act the same you see By :Ira G. One of my poems....

Close to the Holiday Terri Ann Bostian 4/28/71 - 7/18/02 The tears are coming back again Close to the Holiday The one that we would buy our kids the toys. So they could play. Most people call it Christmas A time to love and give But you're no longer with me Your body wouldn't live It gave out from the sickness That you had within your parts Your liver and your kidneys died Along with your warm heart The heart I fell in love with So many years ago Is no longer beside me Again I feel alone I miss you most of all around this Holiday The smile that was upon your face when watching the kids play The gifts we gave each other Showed love for you and me And though you're gone I love you still my heart's in misery I miss you Princess everyday There's depression in my head I never will forget the words We said each night at bed. Author's note: Terri and I had a routine at bed time each night before we sleep. It went exactly like this. I'd say: "Goodnight Princess" She'd say: "Goodnight Snuggles" I'd say: "I love you" She'd say: "I love you" I'd say: "Bunches"? She'd say: "AND BUNCHES" Then we'd go to sleep. I miss my Princess so much. By: Ira G. Bostian IV Written: 12/10/06 To see more of my writings go to this site: http://ira-bostian.livejournal.com/
