So, I have given up kittens to the local Humane society around 7 years ago - I've since learned my lesson and have been totally responsible as a pet owner. Since losing Bastien, I've been looking for that special boy kitty to adopt to try to fill that void in the house. I finally found one who I thought was pretty awesome - only to have the shelter a. give me the run around for a month and a half over one thing or another, then b. not allow me time to prepare my cats for a new cat to enter the house. I'm pretty disgusted with them at this point, and not sure I want to even deal with them. I can get a cat without adopting, but I know these cats deserve a good home, too and it isn't THEIR fault the people that make the decisions are displaying such classist tendencies. So what? Should I just start looking through the papers/ads or maybe try a different shelter or stick with the one who already approved me, but clearly don't want to adopt a cat out to me? I'm in a quandry.
So should I:
a. Continue with the adoption process with the shelter I'm already approved at
b. Get approved with another shelter that isn't so hoity toity or
c. Just start looking at ads in papers/online.
Feel free to comment with your opinion. I can't Mumm anymore, because I'm apparently 'threatening'. Whatever.
