I face the sea and taste the dawn
As the wind goes blowing on
It stirs the leaves and stalks of grass
But I stand tall and strong
Apollo rising from the deep
Leading the Sun, whose rays I keep
Locked in my eyes and in my heart
As off the ledge I leap
Into the windswept waves I dive
Into the cold, ferocious tide
I swim toward the horizon
Through the chaotic sea, I glide
With every breath I find my purpose
With every stroke I cut the surface
Against the fiercesome force around me
My will, my mind shall not prove worthless
I struggle on all through that noon
Until the dull, forboding moon
Bore to my eyes a silver stillness
My soul's aspiring to be fulfilled soon
From out the thrashing sea I rise
Surrounded by the gleaming skies
From lilac, to silver, to gold
I find the sun where glory lies.
