What are you waiting for?

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Depends on what it is and how big it is…..Ms. Santa hates trying to wrap something like a new bike…LOL……Sometimes he hides them in the Christmas tree also! 3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored….Christmas is all about making my kids happy, and they love driving by a house that is so bright with all the different colors and such….lol. 4. Do you hang mistletoe? LOL in every place possible, that is the only way my little “boys” want kisses from momma…LOL…..they are getting to old for that chit now…LOL 5. When do you put your decorations up? The day after Thanksgiving…lol 6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Baked Ham with that oh so sweet glaze I am not supposed to have…LOL 7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: When I was about 13 my mother was in a really bad car accident (hit by an 18 wheeler) and couldn’t walk due to all the pins poking out of her legs and back injury, ect…Anyway I knew things that Christmas was going to be slim pickings for all of us. Anyway, I didn’t have anything on my list for Christmas that year because I knew mom and dad really didn’t have the extra money…But somehow they figured out my deepest desire, I had wanted an Art Easle and some new oil paints for the longest time! Anyway, to make a long story short, Santa left me that present under the tree and I have it still to this day…..You would really have to have been there to understand all of this story, as I had to shorten it due to it being a survey…LOL. 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? WTF….there is really no santa? Then who is it that leaves all those things for me under the tree? LOL 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes, but only a “small” one that is usually pretty cheesy! LOL 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? LMAO….I don’t do anything but the lights, my children decorate the rest of it however their artistic minds lead them to! Even though I let them do it, it always turns out to be the most beautiful tree year after year! Of course we have our “traditional” ornaments, but I always have them make something new for the tree for that particular year! 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love, Love, Love it! But we only get crappy stuff like sleet and ice down here! 12. Can you ice skate? OMG, I love it, oh and yes I can!!!! 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Back several years ago my daughter made me this jewelry box in her art class and gave it to me for Christmas, you definitely could tell that it was done by a 7 year old, but it still sits on my dresser to this day! 14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being with my friends and family and seeing their eyes light up while they open their presents! 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? I don’t have one, as I am not allowed to eat them…..lol 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Playing Ms. Claus on the phone Christmas Eve to my children that still believe in that happy fat man…lol 17. What tops your tree? Angel 18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? I love to give! 19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? White Christmas 20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Definitely Yummy!

True Love and Friendship

A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty, He said...no. She asked him if he would want to be with her forever and He said no. She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once again he replied with a no. She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said... You're not pretty you're beautiful. I don't want to be with you forever, I NEED to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away...I'd die!!! SO NOW I WILL SAY: I like you because of who you are to me...A true friend. And if I don't get this back I'll take the hint. Tonight at midnight your true love will realize they like you. Something good will happen to you at 1:00-4:00 PM tomorrow. It could be anywhere -- AOL, Yahoo, outside of school, anywhere. Get ready for the biggest shock of your life. Remember: "A good friend will come bail you out of jail.... But a true friend will be sitting next to you saying ... WE screwed up, but we had fun! " Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence, and don't skip ahead. I've learned...that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. I've learned...that we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for. I've learned...that money doesn't buy class. I've learned...that it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. I've learned...that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. I've learned...that the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can? I've learned...that to ignore the facts does not change the facts. I've learned...that the less time I have to work, the more things I get done. To all of you...make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence. Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND, even if it means sending it back to the person who sent it to you. If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends.

Red Fridays

The following was sent to me through email. I have many conflicting emotions about our current "war" in Iraq! Do I feel like our troops should be home with their families and not dying on the streets over there....Hell yes I do! But since I can not personally bring them home, I will show my support for them in every way I can! I hate this war, but I support our troops until they day they all come home! God Bless them all! Red Fridays. Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that .. every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is ..."We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday. IF YOU AGREE -- THEN SEND THIS ON. IF YOU COULDN'T CARE LESS -- THEN HIT THE DELETE BUTTON. IT IS YOUR CHOICE.

Touch of a Friend

An angel was sent down from heaven one day to visit a child who had nothing to say. Now this young child was poor - great wealth she did lack, but she always was happy in spite of the fact. Until one day it happened - her best friend went away and it left her heartbroken with nothing to say. Now the task of the angel was a great one indeed, to give hope to a heart that was so much in need. And though great riches and power were at the angels command - he sent a lost puppy and the healing began. The girl cheered the puppy as he chased down a stick and she started to giggle as her face he would lick. Then without any warning the girl whose heart broke found some reason for saying these words that she spoke - "I love you little puppy - I hope you will stay! We will always be friends and together we’ll play." Now the little girl was happy though she still remained poor, for she had a new friend someone to care for. You see riches and power are fine things indeed but for a broken heart that is not what you need. The angel was wise for he knew in the end how to mend a broken heart with the touch of a friend.

Muddeling my way through

Please forgive me everyone! I am new to Cherry Tap and I am muddeling my way through doing the best I can to figure out all the "features" and such! I know some may think they are being "ignored", but honestly, they are not! It is just me being blonde...lol. Anyway, please be patient with me as I try to figure it all out and get "comfortable" in my new surroundings! Much luv and respect! Suzi
