"You Call Me a Friend"

You call me a friend
Whenever you need me I am there
When you call me, I answer
You call me a friend
Dependable, trustworthy, almost family but not quite
I have your back when no one is in your corner
I'm your wind beneath your wings
You call me a friend
You can't count the times I picked you up when you've fallen
You can't count the times I've turned that smile upside down
You call me a friend
But what do I call you?
When I struggle, 
You forget that you aren't the only the one to struggle
When I cry, I wipe my own tears, and smile for the both of us
When I'm broken, I lift us both up, knowing being broken is worst then losing you
You call me a friend
But what do I call you?
What do I call the light to my shadow
What do I call the inspiration I use to move on
You call me a friend
But what do I call you?
... Nothing
What I am without you
What I've become with you
