Home construction has flourished in 2015 as it has in the last preceding years. Now that we have already welcomed 2016, architects and home builders are more optimistic than ever for the future of the industry. Analysts have also predicted that construction has a strong year ahead with the number of pending projects from last year to the upcoming demands of the next 12 months.
Developing countries are also set towards urbanization. Topping the list is the city of Jakarta, Indonesia, Bangkok, Thailand and Taipei, Taiwan. It is expected that these major capitals will be leading Asian region in home building which includes the rise of condominiums, apartments and townhouses in cities and neighboring towns.
Construction theft and other fraud in the industry, which has stressed a lot of companies last year, are expected to decrease as protective measures are already underway.
“I couldn’t be more positive about 2016”, Robert Ross, chief business performance officer of Regent Building Companies told The Petersen Group . “We are a year farther away from the recession and we are slowly getting back to our feet. These are good times ahead”.
Even custom home building, which do not necessarily follow the trends of the market, seems to pattern styles to take part in the luck of the general industry.
The growing trends for home construction in 2016 are:
1.Clients are opting more for natural selection
Dark and hard floorings are no longer an option for modernization. Comfort is currently the priority in finding a new home. Experts review that white, gray and washed wood are making a comeback. A good view is also a major consideration since a lot of homeowners are busy bodies and would want their homes to be a place of reprieve, not some cold and sophisticated architecture which was a trend last five years ago. For some, it is also best to combine the best of both worlds.
2. Homes are more functional
Although a natural feel is demanded, technology is expected to be more advanced. Functional appliances and furniture is a magnet for home buyers. Customized home construction would include installation of smart devices such as lighting fixtures invisible behind the walls and fires that do not burn out, perhaps?
3.Green Building will grow in residential sector
More and more people realize the importance of caring for the environment which is partly the reason why a good natural view is craved. Green building currently accounts for 26-33% of the total residential market and has helped contribute to the industry's recovery after the recession. It is expected to grow double this year.
