What are you waiting for?

When a leader seeks recognition, it does not mean he is at the point of arrogance. Leaders just strive to be significant and thus create greatest impact and influence. These are the types of leaders that we value the most; inspired by their courage and resiliency. They also seek to emulate them to be able to be remembered fully, even if not acknowledged.

These kinds of leaders are reviewed for their reverence. They are those who instinctively gravitate towards an ultimate goal since they are more aware of their respective positions and responsibilities. Leaders that are self-aware are clear about their identity and expectations have the backs of others and can be trusted.

Given these definitions, we can assume that leaders can be proud while being humble. These kinds of leaders are the most memorable. They go about their days leveraging their distinction by leading in ways that are most natural to them. They are remembered and admired because of their own uniqueness and approach that are stronger and unified without the pretense of just being recognized.

How then do we follow these footsteps without bending our own methods and neutrality? How can we show gratefulness to lead without being seen as overconfident? How can we deliver our own uniqueness even when the world is calling us frauds of our own identity?

Good leaders are the ones who impact people, lead personality and career development, and influences how other people think and act. The Peterson Group Consulting and Developmental Coaching enumerate the following qualities we need to achieve to play a great significance in our time as a leader:

1. Authenticity

These leaders are the clearest in their intentions. They are the ones who do not play in their intentions and do not practice power dramas. Authentic leaders are consistent, embrace diversity and encourage other people to share their ideas and ideals. They encourage entrepreneurial attitude towards work and place.

2. Share their Wisdom

Leaders who are the ones remembered are the ones who do not hold back when an inspiration story is called upon. They are the ones who do not hesitate on their wisdom and success. Their storytelling alone can make them memorable but the lessons shared are the ones who weigh the most.

3. Does what others don’t

According to a leadership mentor in Jakarta, Indonesia, leaders are already too predictable. Memorable leaders get out of the cycle and inspire others even if it is not included in their priorities. You know that your leader is unique when he is ready to cross boundaries for you.
