I want to tell you something 
it comes straight from the heart 

But first I want to thank you 
before I even start. 

You have given my life 
reason to have all that I do 

I have my rights and freedom 
all because of you. 

You chose to be my protector 
you stand and fight for me. 

You gave up so much 
just to keep me free. 

Even tho we are strangers 
I am grateful for what you do. 

I thank the lord above 
for the men like you. 

I keep you in my prayers 
morning noon and night. 

The stranger you don't know 
that you stand for and fight. 

You truly are my HERO 
The soldier that I don't know. 

I am so very grateful 
in my words I hope this will show.
