Our "Not-So-Distant" Love _________________________ Right now, as I sit here on the Beach, the Sunset shines on my face as I look across the waves of the ocean, I am searching for You and wondering where you are? And what you are doing, right now, this moment? Deep in my heart, there is a hole, ... where something is missing, and from that hole is a feeling of emptiness and loneliness from being apart from you. It seems as if my life would have little joy or meaning without you in it, here by my side, my precious Destiny, whoever you are. I realize that there's a distance that separates us, you're so very far away, but I just can't seem to wake up from what I have been dreaming, even when I'm awake. That dream of feeling you, held tight in my loving arms, as it should be, and whispering into your ear, your soft hair against my lips, these three little words, ... I Love You. I can already feel the moments we will soon share together, and I can already see all the loving memories we have yet to create, I am already reminded of my future with you, as if it were yesterday, and each day is filled with more memories of things yet to come. So no matter where you are, my Destiny, and no matter what you are doing right now, That distance will never feel quite so far, because my Heart will always unlock for you who holds the key, and that hole is steadily being filled with this wonderful new thing called "Love". What is this Love I have for you? _________________________________ Love is the Tenderness in your loving words and touch. Love is not needing the last word in an argument. Love is looking at your own faults instead of others. Love is Sacrificing instead of demanding. Love is Being There for me during the bad times too. Love is Caring when the other is sick. Love is being Faithful to our Union. Love is the Honesty and Respect you show me. Love is Giving instead of taking. Love is making me Laugh when I'm depressed. Love is giving me Comfort when I'm sad. Love is Sharing those Important decisions. Love is Forgiveness when I need it. Love is being Committed to our relationship. Love is Accepting me as I am instead of trying to change me. Love is holding me and crying with me. So why do I love you so? I love you, not only for what you are, But for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, But for what you have made of me. I love you for ignoring the possibilities of the fool in me And for laying firm hold of the possibilities for good. I love you because you are helping me To make out of the lumber of my life, Not a simple tavern, but a glorious Castle; And out of the words of mouth Not a reproach, but a joyous song. I love you because you have done more than any creed, to make me happy. You have done it Without a word, Without a touch, Without a sign. You have done it, Just by being Yourself. Missing my Princess ___________________ My sweet and precious Princess, so close and yet so far, I always have you here with me, Inside my heart you are. Yet, if so close you do reside, then why isn't it enough? You feel it too, deep down inside, the Need to Touch, ... it's tough. Funny how, the closer we get, the farther our distance becomes, I long to hold you so very bad, I cant even write, I'm all thumbs. As I sit here and you sit there, I stare into your face and eyes, and dream of the day we finally meet, My Princess, you are my greatest prize. No greater gift could you give to me, than a tender heart-felt kiss, and even though we've yet to meet, it's your loving touch, I miss. You give to me your heart and love, and I give to you the same, yet so much more I want to give, and these desires I must tame. I never thought long-distance love, was an easy thing to bare, but how much simpler things would be if I was over there.
