There have been days,
My heart has sung a song of joy.
There have been days filled with sadness,
Those that I love have gone away.
Happiness at times,
Seems like such a passing thing.
Finding happiness and love,
They always appear when we least expect it.
Since that day I met someone special,
My heart has been hers just for the asking.
At the first meeting,
My heart was hers, though I tried not to show it.
If there comes a day,
My heart is taken to the final level.
Forever will she know,
My heart beats strong and true for her.
What we share now,
The friendship, joy and love are more than I had hoped for.
