OK all, here goes.
In my OPPINION, I think people that are child abusers SHOULD be JAILED !!! Reason being, my youngest was recently a victom.
It happened on a regular visit to her dads, (you know, the biweeklys). He was to bring her to me and then it happened. I got a call from her stepmom, and had to go get her. When I got there her dad was standing by the cop car, and I didn't see my daughter. I was told she was in the building getting her pants changed. I was talking to the cop, he asked me if I knew there was a bruse on her lower back (left side, on the top of her pants), and did I put it there? "I said NO, she had left my house on Friday with her dad and stepmom only withthe same ones she'd had from playing and that was it! I didn't do anything to her." He then said, I believe you, and wrote on his pad that her dad MUST HAVE DONE THAT TOO !!! He then informed me of why I had to come to get her. It wasn't for that bruse they documented. It was because her dad PUNCHED her in the BACK of her HEAD. That came from his wife leaving him 2 and 1/2 weeks before this. But had been there ONLY BECAUSE she didn't want my daughter to be there with him alone. THANK GOD FOR HER CARING!!!!Then I was asked if he could speak to her as well, I told him he sure could, but to NOT be surprised if the conversation with her sounded like the one he and I were having. She then came out of the building and over to were there were other cops. He said to her, can I ask you about your dad, (she rolded her eyes and replied) "I know my dad is a buuthead and is crazy, he also needs anger management classes, and he scares me." The cop turned to me and gave me a shocked look. He then came back to talk to me and said, you were right thats how she talks. And I have done these type of calls before, the answers she gave were definately NOT rehursed, you could tell the things she said to me were of her OWN OPPINION!! Her dad was the nput in the cruser and taken to jail, (were he should still be). The cop told me to go the next day to the station to get a protection order, for my daughter and myself. I told him that I will still allow her to see her stepmom and new sister, for they left his a** and will not let him see or talk to her.
Childern services came to take pictures of that bruse. And the lady felt her head too. The protection order is TOTAL NO CONTACT!! And is affect until the court is done with the case.
We went to court 2 weeks after he coned his grandma into bailing him out, (of course they didn't have the money to do it, so she put up her trailor). When we got there we waited for them to tell us we couldgo into the courtroom, after a minute or so the lady came back and told us we didn't have to stay. Only because they wanted to talk to the children service people before they gave judgement.
We called the next day to see when they changed it to. And thank GOD, my child doesn't have to see her dad until AFTER, January 8th 2009. YEA !!! But even that doesn't mean he will get to see or visit or talk to her then. Thats just when they moved the hearing to. He may (HOPEFULLY) will then return to jail and stay for a good long time. and at that time we may be able to get his right taken away from him FOREVER!!!
She has since then goten to spend the night with her stepmom and sister. She loved it!!! And she wants to do it more, they can get her anytime they want.... even if it wasn't to be the time her dad was to get her or not. At least I know she will be SAFE, cared for , and loved when she is there.
GIVE ME SOME FEED BACK please, I am going to TRY as hard as I can to get this a MANDASTED issue in OHIO and possibly the US.
