At just after 0200hrs this morning, units were alerted to 11 Park Valley Lane ,Parkside,Pa for the building fire. Pd were quickly there confirming a working alarm. Engine 45 arrived and started a water line with Truck 65 (Garden City) and Rescue 63 (Green Ridge) closely behind. As the units arived and a line started, the 2nd floor collapsed, trapping 3 firefighters. Crews from Green Ridge and Parkside removed 2 of the fire fighters from the rear of the building, with the 3rd yet accounted for. As the R.I.T. team was active, 45 Command called for the full second alarm assignment. The 3rd firefighter was found under several feet of debris. Crews from Garden City and Green Ridge removed this firefighter to awaiting ambulances. As of the time of this article, one firefighter remains in critical condition and a 2nd in serious condition at Crozer Chester Burn Center.Both are volunteers in thier early 20's.
