Today; I took down, my precious, sweet, dried, once given to me rose's, from the walls. Now, it seems so empty here in my solem flat... They were given to me from family, friends, & yes, even from my lover........ Time has a way of drying up all feelings. They had been tied & dried with ribbons and bows. Placed here & there to fill the spaces..... Memories of days shared. Places spent. Happy times, as well as some sad, sick ones also.. But, roses being my favorite. I could never throw them out. Today I looked. I decided it was time. I fingered the small ribbon, then began the task. To me they were still, stunning as the days I received them. Ever so slowly, I began the delicate dismantling... What am I going to do with all of these. 14 bunches...... Plucking the rose heads, I started. I was drifting with my thoughts. Does this really matter? It does to me... I stopped. I started to wonder.. Why does this effect me so? After choosing a large basket I decided to start again... My thoughts were drifting, I could not keep on task for anything. I put things to rest & picked up my poetry to read. What do I come across? But this... THE ROSE RONSARD, 1550. See, Mignonne, hath not the Rose, That this morning did unclose Her purple mantle to the light, Lost, before the day be dead, The glory of her raiment red, Her colour, bright as yours is bright? Ah, Mignonne, in how few hours, The petals of her purple flowers All have faded, fallen, died; Sad Nature, mother ruinous, That seest thy fair child perish thus 'Twixt matin song and even tide. Hear me, my darling, speaking sooth, Gather the fleet flower of your youth, Take ye your pleasure at the best; Be merry ere your beauty flit, For length of days will tarnish it Like roses that were loveliest. So... This is my thoughts on today's Blog... I did finish up reading 1 more...... ROSES RONSARD, 1550. I send you here a wreath of blossoms blown, And woven flowers at sunset gathered, Another dawn had seen them ruined, and shed Loose leaves upon the grass at random strown. So, my thoughts were somewhere else you see.. Looking around at the mess I had left on the kitchen table.. I finally picked up the rest of the Rose bouquets & proceeded work. I try to finish every project through to the finish. However this one was taking a toll on me for what reason I could not figure it.. I stopped again & went to sleep for awhile... When I awoke they were still sitting there right where I had left it all.... Carefully I started again. This time I finished...

It came at the mid-point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Superstition held that if the weather was fair, the second half of Winter would be stormy and cold. For the early Christians in Europe, it was the custom on Candlemas Day for clergy to bless candles and distribute them to the people in the dark of Winter. A lighted candle was placed in each window of the home. The day's weather continued to be important. If the sun came out February 2, halfway between Winter and Spring, it meant six more weeks of wintry weather. The earliest American reference to Groundhog Day can be found at the Pennsylvania Dutch Folklore Center at Franklin and Marshall College: February 4, 1841 - from Morgantown, Berks County (Pennsylvania) storekeeper James Morris' diary..."Last Tuesday, the 2nd, was Candlemas day, the day on which, according to the Germans, the Groundhog peeps out of his winter quarters and if he sees his shadow he pops back for another six weeks nap, but if the day be cloudy he remains out, as the weather is to be moderate." According to the old English saying: If Candlemas be fair and bright, Winter has another flight. If Candlemas brings clouds and rain, Winter will not come again. From Scotland: If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, There'll be two winters in the year. From Germany: For as the sun shines on Candlemas Day, So far will the snow swirl until May. For as the snow blows on Candlemas Day, So far will the sun shine before May. And from America: If the sun shines on Groundhog Day; Half the fuel and half the hay. If the sun made an appearance on Candlemas Day, an animal would cast a shadow, thus predicting six more weeks of Winter. Germans watched a badger for the shadow. In Pennsylvania, the groundhog, upon waking from mid-Winter hibernation, was selected as the replacement. Pennsylvania's official celebration of Groundhog Day began on February 2nd, 1886 with a proclamation in The Punxsutawney Spirit by the newspaper's editor, Clymer Freas: "Today is groundhog day and up to the time of going to press the beast has not seen its shadow." The groundhog was given the name "Punxsutawney Phil, Seer of Seers, Sage of Sages, Prognosticator of Prognosticators, and Weather Prophet Extraordinary'' and his hometown thus called the "Weather Capital of the World.'' His debut performance: no shadow - early Spring. This Morning I woke up & felt so good... Wow!!!I felt soooooooooo, refreshed.... I have not, Slept like this in so long.. The thing is... I can, remember my dream as if it was real... HUMM...How amazing is that? Usually for me to sleep a long time is something quite unusual..4 or 5 hours tops.. So, to dream & remember the whole of it is; some great feat within itself you see for me.So, I am about to tell you of this magnificent weird dream of last night.....*************************************** I was walking... Some how I came upon An acquaintance of mine not a Lover, nor a friend... Just A Guy from Town... I do not really know him per-say.. He's just is there on the side of me.. I look up at him & he said to me. "Do not worry..He will not hurt you..." I am walking with him.. But, watching us as well...{weird}..Then we are walking & I feel uncomfortable.. All of a sudden there is another Man from town..& I am dancing with him right there!!! He is A Man I know from the Bus Garage..Mike.. Just another regular acquaintance from town with A Huge smile and Big blue eyes..He dances with me. Like I have never danced before in my life!! WOW!! Before the song ends there.. He passes me off to another man... Again this is Only, another I have not known.... Only in passing in my life..With a glance or a quick smile I think I might have worked on him....Humm... The weird things going through my head now is... I know these men... Why would I dance with them?In the real world? I would not? I know I am sleeping ...I am trying my dammed hardest to wake up!! Why Can't I?I am watching myself from; On top of this scene, dancing with these regular smiling guys... Then I watch as I am dancing, once again ONLY this time with the Stranger... I am afraid!!! He looks to good to be 1 of the regular guys I have been dancing with in the street where I usually walk... OMG!! It is the Man in the Picture of the Mime!! From the blog.......He is watching me & smiling??? I am shaken to the core.... Yet, I am still watching from the stage above, as this story unfolds in front of me..Then, I woke up....... ********************************************* Humm.... So, I can not help myself to think of the 3rd & 4th stages ofSleep that I usually never get into.... I think maybe, just Maybe I needed to really take a break from the computer As I did yesterday!! So, to Multiply? or stay where I know the System?Waiting out the Fate???? Humm, I had all sorts of problems with Multiply.. AS you know I use all sorts of props in most of my Blogs!! LOL!! Any way.. Multipty's site would not allow most of the Blogs with any type of " addition" of these.. Low & behold: I was not too happy with this new site... Then: everyone in The net work was allowed access to view my site ..Until " I " could figure out How to change the settings... Humm... Now, when " I " do Figure out these wonderful setting's: how to copy& paste the rest of my Blogs from 360.... & get those Unique comments as well into my blog onto Multipy..I find out after....( I post most of the 80 or so ) that would not pick up by the so called automatic(easy FEED) Most will probably not even be able to be seen.. Because, Mulitply does not support certain functions or applications I had used when making these... Yahoo Had problems..I had to hunt for all of my blogs as well..They were here I just had to keep refreshing those pages lost into cyber space as yahoo is a mess....Do I want to continue with this site Of MULTIPLY!!??? Only time will tell...... Please do tell.... "Are you a promoter of this Multiply out of sales or happiness my friend??"I POSTED A BEAUTIFUL SONG ON FRIENDS OF MINE PAGES THERE TODAY...I had to go back & explain how to delete a comment to all because most did not know how to do this simple function on this new site..After trying to explain it several times I finally just posted it on my site & then proceeded to post it on every site I placed the Beautiful song on...How is that for a wonderful new site..& it was not meant in no-way shape of form as an insult to any of my friends..
