ughhh Club FAR's blog: "Sug is home"

As some of you know I had surgery last Thursday...if not it was not minor surgery, I had drains left in until today. I have had a PICC line in my arm for IV antibiotics for the past three weeks...not fun to say the least. I had a negative lumpectomy 3 years ago and got staph from the surgery. I have been fighting it for 3 years!! A year and a half ago I went to a plastic surgeon who said they could fix the problem by removing the damaged tissue. Well 3 days after surgery I again had a staph infection and was on antibiotics. To make this shorter I have had off and on infections since then and they always drained them and up me on meds until finally an ultrasound was done and they saw how really big of an area they were dealing with......hence the IV meds this time. I went back to to doctor today and found out ALL of the tissue taken was infected with staph......and on top of this I have a horrible cold/sinus infection...whatever, can hardly talk. NOW for my VENT......many ppl on here know of my situation and do not seem to care about my health only that I help them out. I am constantly getting asked. I have sooo many emails, shouts, etc...that I cannot possibly be everywhere at once and on top of this I feel like I am not getting anything out of it.....except the satisfaction of helping someone else out.......where is the love??? SOOOOOOoooooooo.....Starting today I am here when I feel like it. I am not doing anything at this point unless it is for ME. My obligation lies in making ME better first!! So for those of you who are my 'real' friends I know you will understand this. If you don't I don't think you were in the first place!!! I must say that I do have many that are supportive and I love you for being so caring and understanding!!! Remember that a friendship is a give and take relationship!!! Be good to your friends and they will hopefully return the love......MUAHHHhhhssss for listening lol.

Sandi had her surgery today and did well. The doctor took all of tissue that was damaged by the staph infection and all scar tissue. She is in a lot of pain but has taken pain medicine and is getting some sleep. She wanted me to thanks all of you that sent emails, prayed, gave gifts ect. and told me to tell you she loves all of her fu friends. I am sure she will be back on the computer as soon as she can.
