As some of you know, and many of you don't...I have been violently coughing since thanksgiving. Not coughing anything up, just dry hacking coughs. I went to the doctor in January, and they did a chest x-ray. It came back, in the words of the doctor, "not good". So they scheduled me for a cat scan of my chest. It showed areas of my left lung with blockages, and my lymph nodes around my heart swollen badly. They believe I have either Sarcoidosis of Lymphoma. Great news to get, either way, huh?
I go into the hospital tomorrow, to have biopsies done on my lungs and lymph nodes. They are doing a Bronchoscopy and a Mediastinoscopy. While still asleep, they'll send the biopsies to pathology to determine if it's cancer or not. If not, they close me up, sent me to a room and I get out tomorrow or Thursday. If it is, however some kind of cancer, then they start removing chunks of my lungs/lymph nodes and I get to stay for a longer time.
I ask that you keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers, to whomever entity you pray to/worship. I can use all the help I can get right now. Thank you my friends.
