To My Fu Family And My Friends
Many are asking what is happening to my real family..I thought I would post this to help you understand he hell we are facing as a Family!! This makes it hard for me to be here like I usually am.
My niece Venus has a disease called sponge Kidney.. her whole kidneys inside are covered in stones like a shell somewhat.. so they aren't working well at all, and they are trying to clean them out and keep them working..The outside has become very sponge like (sans The Name Sponge Kidneys) , absorbing the bad stuff from the outside rather from within. This Is Not Good!! She is seriously ill. She has been fighting it for years but it just keeps getting worse. Her surgery was supposed to help but so far it really hasn't done much to relieve her from stones and constant Pain!! As For Karen.. She has Rheumatoid Arthritis.. all her adult life.. she is in her late 60's and was having trouble with an abscess on her foot.. wouldn't heal.. went in Hosp. for wound care and they let her fall!! She started getting worse and was in extreme pain.. they didn't take it seriously.. we started raising hell and finally 6 days later we insisted on an x-ray and BOTH of her legs were broken above her knees!! From The Fall!! They Still had been trying to stand her up and rolling her around in bed on n off a bedpan. Can't even imagine the pain she is in..! At this point her feet were already dying off they & were turning black. They transferred her off to another hospital for that. By Then, The only thing they could do was to amputate both legs at the knees. Her bones are too porous for setting them and her feet were already Necrotic And Compleatly dead by then. Problem now is her skin can't handle sutures... it keeps splitting open at the amputation incision. And they are having serious complications with healing because it wont close!!.. it just keeps dying off..they have put in special sponges and pumps In The Stumps to try to promote healing but it is not working.. she is gravely ill at this point and very weak. This will have to be done at least twice a week and everytime it makes her weaker. She won't be able to handle many more surgeries for debridements!! It has thrown her into a hell cycle of having to have surgery every few days to remove the necrotic tissue and insert fresh sponges for pumping the infection out. They have really got her life on the line.. She may lose the rest of her legs yet... it will be at her hip this time and she probably will not survive it. They have already told us to prepare for the worst, and to get her affairs in order. They have made a mess of things. Sadly she just lost her Daughter(our other Niece)3 months ago to Brain Cancer..So we have been on one hell of a rocky road for Months!! We are terrified at the prognosis for her. It sure isn't going well. Thank You for the prayers.. we really need all of them we can get. Don't plan on leaving Fu. But can't be here like I normally am. So much time spent at hospitals!! Please Keep praying for them both!! We Need All The Prayers And Good Thoughts As We Can Get!! Their about 2 hours apart so we are going back and forth a lot.
