Today I peeped, searched, and read. Today I learned the bitter truth. The culmination of my doubts and fears. Simple black ink stared back at me. A letter, ungiven, yet plainly addressed. Folded and hidden from view. Somehow I was drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. Unaware that I would get burned, yet I feel like my skin is flaking off. Lies were exposed, infidelities revealed. The words cutting like a knife, deep and true. Your words will leave a scar, thick and puckering. I won't forget, someday I may forgive. Emotions stirred, feelings revealed. I've left a scar of my own, for you to see and remember. -------------------------------------------------- This was written over a year ago. I am long since past the circumstances that sprouted such feelings.

Forced into political views by a Government that has left us no other option but to stand up here on this soap box and scream at the top of our lungs for change. Thousands of soldiers thunder through the streets of foreign cities. While in our own townships, suburbs, and cities men and women are starving and dying violently. Bring the troops home and stop the wars in our streets! How can we begin to trust our elected officials? When the lesser of the two evils is still evil? How can we have hope for the future when we slide towards a recession? Give me someone real! Where is the conscience of the congress? Where is the equality of man? The equality of ALL men! How can Presidential Candidates really be taken seriously when they're viewed as the first black man and the first woman? Is it really that important? Will it make them a better President? Will the do a better job or have a better foreign policy because of the color of their skin or they have a different set of genitalia? When did the Media stop reporting and start selling ratings? Who is to blame for the lack of decent news? Don't tell us what we want to hear! Tells us what is happening! Russia has invaded Georgia and it gets a one minute segment. But the Olympics get how much coverage? Since when is a piece of gold on a band of cloth more important than the deaths of hundreds of people? Am I the ONLY one that thinks in the fucking nation?

(This was written a while ago. Thought I'd share it). ---------------------------------------------------- A million thoughts unspoken clutter my mind, warping my perspective. Endless seas of desires and feelings erode the fabric of my will. Stress; unbearable, yet intangible crushes me like a mountain of regret. I see constantly what I can never have. These feelings welling up, threatening to erupt from me. The look in your eyes is enough to drive me mad. Making me want to pull you to me or run far away. Longing for what I can't have is killing me. Faceless, I meet the new day.
