On September 19th i became the 1st person in my family history to develop diabetes, it happened suddenly without warning when my vision went all blurry for no reason. my wife suggested that i use my daughter in laws glucometer, so i did and discovered my blood sugar was at 519. by the time i had made it to the emergency room it was 701. i found myself in ICU, plugged up to every sort of machine, being pumped full of meds and not having any idea what was going on.
i was released 3 days and $30,000 dollars poorer, and on 6 different medications.
Then to compound things, On October 27th i suffered a stroke to my left eye, leaving me blind, add three more meds to the prior 6, and unable to drive or work on computer circutry, or really enjoy anything at all that requires depth perception or level of detail. and i have now been set up to see a cardiologist as they think the stroke may of been caused by either a heart condition, or a blockage of the carotic artery, so tests are pending
