Verizon and cablevision are both fiber optic. The main reason the fios picture looks better is Pat McAfee Womens Jersey because cablevision was the first cable/tv provider in the area. alot of their lines are old. but they use the same lines, and if you had cablevision come and update the lines, or use the lines after verizon installed new ones, you would notice barely any difference in the picture quality.

Fios starts out in the year promotion triple play offer for 99. but then after that the prices go up dramatically. I have alot of friends who all switched to fios back in 2005 and 06 with me Pat McAfee Jersey and if you look at even cablevisions normal rates its much better than Verizions. So getting a promotion is going to be saving alot of money

i dont like all the taxes verizon charges every month, because i wasnt paying them with cablevision and at the end of the day im watching all of the same shows so why pay www.coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-COBY-FLEENER-JERSEY.html more?? its why I switched in the first place.

what do you think? is it worth paying 30 120 more dollars a month for the extra channels? i dont think so. maybe other people are different but most of them seem the same to me

First, Cablevision is not Fiber to your house. They Cory Redding Womens Jersey do have Fiber to your neighborhood, but then its copper to your house. And they used to and may still share that copper among you and your neighbors. Meanwhile, FIOS customers get an individual Fiber line into their house. Which is not shared by anyone else in the neighborhood.

Secondly, brand new copper lines is not going to change how slow your cablevision service is. Old copper lines work just as new ones do unless they have been damaged (bent or cut). But the bad thing about copper is the signal loss over long distances. So if you are the last house in your neighborhood you may have the worst cablevision signal. Also, Fiber technology has been around for decades, so no it is not like new versus old computers.

The only thing that would improve cablevision would be if they stopped sharing your connection and brought fiber directly into your house.

Thirdly, when you have FIOS you can sign up for the latest promotional plan at the end of your contract. If you have had FIOS for almost 4 years and didn't know this. MEANWHILE cablevision doesn't do this, I believe you have to not be their customer for 6 months before you can sign up for the new promotional coltsonlineprostore.com/WOMENS-ADAM-VINATIERI-JERSEY.html price!!!

Finally, you don't need to know the specifics of the technology to make a choice between the two. Just ask people's opinion of which one is better. Or better yet, try it out yourself. If you DO NOT notice a difference between cablevision and FIOS picture quality and speed, then Cory Redding Limited Jersey stick with whatever is cheapest for you. There are plenty of reasons to go with either service, but it is very subjective.

When I ordered the service on their website, a couple of days later they changed prices and it actually went down. I called to cancel, so I could create a new order with the new prices. They do NOT want you to cancel, period, so the tech transferred me and I got another department (forget what it's called) to 'keep' customers.

I explained that I didn't even have the service yet, but instead of canceling, she offered me more discounts, which is why I have a $45/month discount, good for the full term of the (2yr) contract.

I live in Pleasantville, if that helps with the tax info.

I've never had to call Verizon customer service since I got the service last summer. I have had to call Cablevision, and within the last couple of years, it HAS gotten better. It used to be a nightmare.

As for being more expensive, I would argue otherwise. I was paying $160 a month for Cablevision, for their triple play, with the lowest Internet speed option and the "Silver IO" package, which is their lowest digital package with movies. It is true that they do not charge you for the HD channels, but I'm getting, without the discounts, a lot more for less. Plus, I can see the pixelation on the HD channels on Cablevision, where I don't with Fios. But I work in the broadcast industry and I'm attuned to the little things that most people don't see or hear.
