I wiped it away from my brow
like windshields
and a colored fly
I wiped it away
An essence of the now
From cherry poppy seed
to a crumpled sky.
I rememberd how peppermint similes fade
til' milkstains turn foul
into wierd shades of ambroshia and teal
Whines turned to a cry.
Happy days have gond grey
misty shades of my life bow
before the base of this sore heel
You give up and swallow my try, try, try.
So, I wiped it away
My flushed cheeks and our ill-fated vows
this resignation I feel
Is now mine.
