Okay I live in Ohio and I have no idea what the laws are about putting a parent into a nursing home. My mom is no longer able to care for herself and her home is too small for me and the kids to move in and take care of her There is also the issue of my 18 year old sister living there and mooching off mom. My mom cant manage her money and she keeps writing checks for things when her bank account is empty. She also forgets to take her meds..she leaves the stove on etc...
Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers last year. In one year she has gone from stage 1 to stage 2. She can not move in here and my older brother lives in another state. (18 year old sister is no help at all..the lazy azz)
My brother has power of attorney (for money) and I have medical power of attorney.
I am under so much stress over thisand I dont know what to do.
A. Put it all on my brotherand force him to come home and deal with it
Or
B. do this..
