Okay mummers here goes.
My mom has Alzheimers. She has not gotten to the point of needing to be put in a home yet; but she is too much for me to handle.
In October 2008 my mom gave my older brother power of attorney. ( I live in Ohio, one city over from her. MY brother lives in Washington State.)
I have no clue as to whybut that is not the issue.
I honestly can not take care of her any more. It is too much for me to handle alone. I have my kids and all their needs to care for by my self.

I am sick and tired of everyone calling me all the time demanding I go do this or I go do that for my mom. I am in there 3 to 5 times a week and I simple cant afford the gas anymore. I have to help her pay all the bills because she keeps writing bad checks; and OMG buying stuff on credit cards from TV.
Legally I cant write the checks or take away the credit cards, I dont have power of attorney.
My brothers idea of help is throwing money at the problems he wants to put money in her bank account and me sort out all the bills. I have tried but each time I go over there-there are more bills and things she bought but don't remeber ordering.
I need real help and I honestly dont know who to ask. None of my friends have parents as old as my mom, and all of their grandparents never need to go to a home or have any kind of assisted living.
Where do I go for help?
