Our Children
We give them life, we hope and pray,
That they`ll move on not go away.
We give them love and keep them safe,
Hope they`ll grow up and will behave.
We listen long,we listen hard,
At all the things that make them mad.
We give advice, help all we can,
We become their biggest supportive fan.
We try our best to give it all
We`re always there if they ever fall
We stand behind them if they need
We understand but do take heed
When they grow up we watch and stare
Good times, bad times, just beware
Mistakes they make don`t get involved
Anything! can be resolved
So we lay our thoughts to rest
We hope and pray we did our best
Our children will grow and carry on
To do the things we have`nt done
Don`t interfere or make a fuss
Just pray that they`ll be better than us
Be thoughtful, loving, caring, kind.
We`ll soon be proud and have peace of mind.
