First and foremost, I love you guys, you have done so much for me in this contest I'm in debt to each of you, but now there is an issue. There was a point today where we had actually gotten into first place by 100 comments, then I log off because sitting here was hurting my back and to do some things around the house. When I log on a little later I find out the second place person apparently called on her family and in 5 or 6 hours busted out 2000 comments. You know, I've had a lot of people bombing me and working very hard to get me a chance at winning this, but I don't see how we can compete with that. To all my new friends, welcome, and to all my old ones just wanted to keep you guys up what has been going on with me lately. I know I have kind of slacked on keeping you guys informed and for that I apologize. Well, within the last month I have taken a job at Wal-Mart. Those of you that have known me for a while know that my last job kept me on the road so long that I not only forgot the day but even what day of the week it was. I also started neglecting my friends because I barely had time to talk, let alone hang out. So now instead of having just one day off a week where all I do is sleep, I have between two and three days a week off, I took this job because the pay is better, more benefits, naturally, and it gives me more time to spend with those precious to me, my friends and family. Was going to throw a big birthday bash for my 30th birthday next month, but after people started cancelling, I have just decided not to have one. That weekend will be kind of emotional for me,

Everyday it seems I catch an earfull of the news about how many more soliders killed in Iraq....Most of my friends are military so its real hard to hear this since many of "my boys" are over there. It's sad how many people have forgotten what these boys have to do and go through.... they are just doing their damn job... its sad when fort lewis now has to group all the guys that pass in a month togethers ceramonies to save money......come on now.. thats my rant for now. Here it is, the 4th of July is upon us. Another holiday that our troops are spending away from their loved ones.To all Soldiers, You have my deepest respect and many many Thank yous, for doing what you are doing. I admire each and every one of you, for the sacrifices that you are making. It takes a special breed to do what you all are doing. In an effort to help us get through the loss of my brother, PJ, the family has adopted Rt. 28 from the Heinz Plant to the 31st Street Bridge. Within the next few months PennDOT will install signs, approaching Heinz on the northbound and Lambro’s on the southbound. The signs will say: Adopt a Highway In Memory of Paul “PJ” Shepherd Jr. In return, we will be cleaning up litter from the sidewalk and the hillsides four times per year. Just wanted to let you all know I love you very much ..you have helped me so in the last few months...I hve been ill for a very long time...pretending and moving forward everyday but finally it is to the point that i have to face serious consequences....in the morning I go to the hospital and have to have a heart cath...the left side of my heart is dragging behind and not doing it's job..... not a good thing when the old ticker stops ticking you know... they do not know what is wrong and are exploring all options.... TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and /or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. Hi ya'll!!!! Still don't have my own pc yet.......I am at the library.....Things have been rough financially for us the past few months.....Lee is looking for another job ...... After i left my last blog i fell and busted my knee open and had to have 6 stitches....I was down for about 2 weeks total because they had to reopen it a bit to get to some of the stitches....Aug 5th my dog sir died....( we had him for 10 yrs).....In the meantime i have gotten two cats and we took in a stray that was dropped off at the house in the summer while we were first moving in....(he makes a really good farm dog) I miss you all very much and hope that I can get back online soon.....If Lee gets this new job he is after I hope to be back sometime around spring. The lady that owns the farm we are living on is going to sell it to us if we can get a loan....
