So my machete needs to be sharpened because I need to use it tomorrow (to go hiking someplace without trails.) I couldn't find my sharpening stone or any oil so I decided that a pizza stone and olive oil would work just the same... it didn't. Now not only is it not sharp it smells like a salad... I'll post pictures later =] They induced me at the doctor today because i had PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension). We tried waiting for me to dilate more, but i only got 3 more cm (6 c total) before my body just quit- My contractions were at 600 Monteveyo (i dunno how to spell it o.O) units, when they needed to be at 200. so with as violent as they were (my epidural was AMAZING. i spent the induction playing munchkin), it would stress the baby and possibly hurt her. so i got to be cut open. It was amazing. i didnt feel a thing. i even napped. So, I go against all my internal "rules" by stating that I'm a good friend...it's hypocritical...but aren't we all hypocrites at heart anyway? My reasoning for stating this is because I try. I really do put in an effort for any and all that I truely care about. Whether it's reciprocated or not, I always feel I'm "there" for my fellow compadre... I hope they know and in some cases I'm aware of being taken for granted and in turn I've remedied the situation but for the others...I want them to know, I do care and that's what I'm here for. I keep thinking how much better the world would be without religion in it. Ever see that picture that has the NYC skyline (with the World Trade Center still there) with the caption "Imagine no Religion? " Think about a world with no religion: 1. Much less terrorism 2. Nobody trying to replace real science with mythology 3. No anti-abortion fucktards killing doctors, intimidating people and bombing clinics 4. Equal rights for women and homosexuals 5. In simple terms- I am getting a dress and going to have a good time. I am then going to go to the court house to have my last name legally changed. Only difference between what I will be doing and a real wedding is it will be cheaper as there is just me and there will be no honeymoon. It's been a while, but I thought I would cover a VERY important topic in the IT world: backing up data. I'm not great at doing this with non-critical data myself, but if things mean anything to you, keep backups. When hosting with a web provider, ALWAYS make sure you have a local backup copy of your site files and any databases. I would recommend having a backup schedule. For e-commerce sites, do yourself a favor and back things up nightly. One weekly full backup and incrementals there after would suffice. You can even do one twice daily if you get enough business. Just a quick note to appoligize for falling behind on the blog. Been a hectic couple of weeks...Was stuck in Kansas for a week. I'll catch up my blog and pages in a couple days but wanted to let my readers know that not only am I ok...but i am HOME!!!!! The rig has run it's last load for this year as I pulled in last night. Was part of a surprise for my son who I had led to believe that I wasn't going to be home until Xmas eve. Needless to say not only was he surprised but pleased as punch that I am not heading out until Jan 2nd. Then it will be another 4 months out. Anyways I'll catch up on thing when the dust settles here on the home front......
