  It was a typical day at school until it was time to go home. i stayed late to finish a report and fell asleep. when i heard a weird noise i awoke with a start and noticed it was late. It appeared to be dark outside and i panicked. grabbing my books i raced to the schools entrance. for some reason it was locked and i couldn't get out. i grabbed my cell phone to call home but there was no signal and i couldn't get any service inside the building. i began going to all the other exists. they too were locked for the night. out the corner of my eye i saw somethiing move. i got scared but kept reassuring myself it was a shadow or just my imagination. i wondered the dark corridors worried how i was gonna get out. i heard a noise but when i turned around there was nothing there. i turned back and saw a movement at the end of the hallway ahead of me. i stood still and squinted into the darkness with my heart racing. after awhile of seeing nothing i moved downstairs to the first floor and tried the windows but they were frozen shut with leaves and the late nights frost. back in the hallway i hear the noise agian. it was soft but sounded like the rustle of soft silk sheets. i looked in the direction of the noise. slowly out of the dark a tall,thin shadowy figure came forth with red glowing eyes and what appeared to be skinny boney fingers holding a stick. as it came closer i saw the blackish colord robes it wore as it floated towards me. that would explain the noise but was this thing? when it came about five yards from me i realized in horror it was none other than the reaper himself. he was getting closer with his eyes glowing brighter and his giant reaper which was covered with blood stains. i realized i must off been backing up cause i heard the small crash off a broom smack the floor as i bumped it over. i must of been in a storge room or janitors office. i was so frightened i turned in horror and raced up the stairway back to up the second floor. i was racing through the dark hallways stumbling around corners and bumping into water fountians. i could hear the rustles of his robes as he floated after me. i was too scared to look back. finally i came to the library. i raced through selfs of books and magazines and hide in the computer room curled up in a dark corner by the paper bin. i heard the reaper make low eerie moans of aggression as he searched along the books and under tables. i heard him approach the computer room and then it went silent. did he decide to give up and leave?  after awhile just as i was about to get up, all the computer screens started flashing and beeping. the printer went crazy and spit out paper all over the room like sharp arrows. the lights flickered on and off and the chairs rolled back and forth across the room blocking the door. i was frozen with fear as i noticed the reaper making his way towards me. i saw nothing but bright red blankness glowing in his eyes. he raised a boney hand and pointed at me. he appeared to have a skull for a face and an evil grin. i quickly crawled to the door and began to push chairs out of the way as the flyin paper came at me cutting my hands. one got my cheeck and it hurt bad but i had to get out of there. just as i managed to get the door open a bit for me to squeeze out of a computer jumped up and flew my way smashing into the doorway. it smashed into pieces sending sparks to the libray floor. i knew it wouldnt be long before all those books got ignited and became a huge fire. i raced out of the library noticing i dropped my back pack somewhere along the way but i didnt care. once agian i raced the hallways. water from sinks and fountians overflowed the restrooms and toilet paper unraveled aross the floor out to the hallways. lockers began to slam open and shut, papers litterd the hallways,desk and chairs became overturned. i turned the corner and raced into a empty classroom.there i ducked underneath the teacher's desk and curled up with fear. i hid there for what seemed like hours crying in horror with my heart racing. i didnt hear any noises except my heavy breathing and heart drumming my ears. finally i ended up fainting and passed out. later i got woken up by the sound of voices. i also heard footsteps approach. when a hand touached my shoulder i quickly grabbed something off the desk and hit the reaper in defense. i heard a "ouch" followed by a moan of pain. i looked up to see a police officer and a teacher holding his side in pain. i was soo thankful to see them. i crawled out from under the desk and noticed the object i held was a stapeler. i dropped it and apologized to the teacher. the officer looked me up and down. "are you ok? you look like you seen a ghost?" he began to ask me questions like why i was under the desk and what i was doing here after school hours. i tried to explain as best i could but both of them looked at each other as if to say im crazy. it was appearntly the next morning for sunlight gleamed through the windows and i heard birds singing. they lead me out into the hallway where i looked about me in shock. the mess and chaos from that night was gone. no water,no papers, no banging lockers. i was confused. we went past the library and i got nervous. the teacher noticed this and glimpsed inside it as we passed. i noticed all the books were back in order and there was no sign of a fire. we went down the stairs and finally outside were my family and friends waiting looking very concerned. i ran up and hugged them all thankful to have survived the terrors of the night. after a few days i was able to continue school as normal like nothing happened, though sometimes i got the feeling someone was watching me.
