There are times in my life when all I need is security. But too often there's no one to look to to gather the peace of mind I seek Like a pillar of stone in a mound of sand when I need help the most is when I ask for it the least trying to act brave when inside I am frightened and I just want to follow instead of lead I can't be strong all the time yet that's what you seem to want. And when YOUR strength is at it's weakest point and it seems like you're all alone look to me, I'll be there I'll be your strength. I listen to the rain fall upon my roof soft, wet drops of life. You don't notice when they start--or stop-- but all of a sudden-- they're there. Bound for earth, soaking up silence, Yes. The rain fills a need. ~SM written 4/16/89

You say you love me but I say if you did you wouldn't treat me bad. Is all I have with you premature love? Is all I have with you a lot of false hope? That's not what I want. I want a REAL relationship with a REAL man not a poor excuse for companionship with someone who lives in my memory, and not a half hearted attempt at love with a man I have to share with someone I never even met! I want reality and honesty and quality time and what do I get? Dreams, Deceit and a two minute phone call when YOU get around to it Dammit can't you understand that I am NOT a plaything? Someplace in this masquerade, in this lonely game we play, There's a someone searching for security in a flimsy web of smiles. The plastic routines don't shatter, and the rubber mistakes don't bounce. "I'm tired of all the insecure men Who say things they really don't mean "I'm tired of the little boys Who make promises they intend to break!"
