Okay Question...really
I work for an ENT specialist...well I have worked in the medical field most of my life. I have dealt with alot of different people. People of different ages, races, creed and color. From Geriatric to Pediatric, Black to White, Jew to Muslim...you get the point. Here is my question then. Think about it...when you go to the local 7-11 and get a slushy and ask the person behind the counter for a pack of your favorite cigarettes and they look at you like a Deer caught in headlights..... what do YOU do. So kiddies I guess what I'm saying is let's be more considerate of our foreign friends and neighbors....remember Dumbass in English is the same as DUMMMMMBBBB-ASSSSS. Centralizing My Blogs
Okay it is not totally over yet. But a lovely time to reflect. Well let's see...I started out the year with all good intentions... bought a membership to Curves for one year and went twice...so they have been charging me ever since. Dumbass! Quit the highest paying job I ever had because the woman I worked for was unbearable...so it was the highest stress driven job I ever had also. Now I have a job that does not pay as much but it is much more laid back...trade off? In someways yes in others no. I have no holiday pay here or vacation pay. Thus if I don't work I don't get paid. Thanksgiving's check just about KILLED me. Thank goodness I have another job to keep me afloat right now. Just barely mind you but atleast my head is above water...well my nose atleast. My car took a crap on me and I didn't have the money to get it fixed so I got refinanced for another car that has basically in all intense purposes doubled my car payment. Okay I Think I Can Talk About It Now
I have always been the kind of person that if anything traumatic or remotely traumatic happens to be I have to wait a couple of days for the shock to wear off before I can really talk openly about it with everyone. Always been that way, probably always will. Okay this happened a couple of days ago and really only told 2 people about it so now I'm telling anyone who remotely cares...lol. scenario... I go to work, park in the parking lot, decide to walk over to the whole sale food place to pick up a couple of things...now you have to cross a very busy intersection known as State Rd 123 in order to get to this place. 4 lanes of cars in an extremmmmmmmly small town called Vienna... Imagine Mayberry meets downtown Chicago traffic...you get the idea. Not to worry though. There is a stop light in the middle of the nowhere for pedestrians to cross. The reason I say in the middle of nowhere is because it is halfway through the block. There used to be an old railway station that they ripped up

Am I The Only One Who Thinks Of This Stuff?
Okay I don't know about you but working in a medical facility and for an ear, nose and throat doctor occasionally we will get operator telephone assisted calls. If you don't know what this is an operator will be on the other end saying..."this is operator 2457 and I have a relay call from "Mr. So and so" please hold for message....then they will type to the deaf person the deaf person types back to the operator and the operator relays the message to you, but when she does she is so blahsay about it and almost monitone and when she is done reading the type she will say..."over" meaning they are done and you should respond. They have done a few bits on Howard Stern with this idea. But I was thinking...OMG what if someone wanted to call a sex chat line and were deaf! Could you imagine! The funny part is the operator must relay anything typed or said! I bet those operators have some great stories! hmmmmm wonder if any of them have a blog ;)

Never Again!
Okay I\'m only gonna say this once. I\'m a thrifty kind of person when it comes to buying clothes and shoes. Discount, Sales, Clearance, K-mart, Walmart and any other Marts out there. And if you live in the right place there is a wonderful concept called Consignment shoppes. These shops are where people bring in their unwanted shoes, clothes and other apparels to resell at much cheaper prices and possible get a small portion of money for anyone who buys it. Brilliant Idea huh?! Most times yes. But I have learned through painful experience do NOT , I repeat NOT, buy shoes from these places. Think about it these people gave their shoes away for a reason! First and foremost because they are so damn uncomfortable after wearing them for any amount of time. Which brings me to another point, why as women do we do that to ourselves? We wear a great looking pair of shoes because they look good yet we have 3 inch blisters on our heals eventually walking in a sesspool of water and blood. *sighs*

Ma'am?!?
I went to the store yesterday and picked the smallest line to stand in. The checker was a nice young man who looked like he just got hit by the puberty stick. As I inched closer checking out the tabloid headlines (Come on who don't?) He says "Hello Ma'am and how are you today?" Ma'am!? Ma'am?! Technology..we Have Come A Long Way
Technology has come a loooooooooong way from when I was a kid. Hell I remember when a simple See and Say kept me busy for hours. "The Cow says Moooooooooooooooooooooo" How did that thing work? It just facinated me that something so small had so many sounds in it and where the hell did that voice come from? Hell I'm thinking now who would record their voice for something like that and did they get any royalties for all those machines they made and distrubted? But I digress.... Now a days they have leapfrog pads for kids and hand held computers. Telephones...used to have cords and most people had what we called party lines. Gas Prices!
Yep it is time.... Man I swear can gas prices get any higher!? I know I should not be asking that but geez! But I think I know why.... As some of you know I grew up most of my life as an only child. Until my mother remarried. Then I got a step sister. Yeah she was older than I was, but only by a couple of years...and yes she was a pain in the ass most times. But we shared something in common. WE LOVED ROLLER COASTERS! I just recently added her to my Yahoo messenger and she told me that she spent the whole day in Dollywood riding roller coasters! Man those were the days! We even remembered a roller coaster. Stupid Parents!!
Why is it that whenever parents screw up they try to blame everyone but themselves. Most people wont have noticed this but many OTC medications geared towards kids under 6 have recently been pulled off the shelves by the FDA. Why you might ask?? Because parents are IDIOTS and are self-dosing and their kids are OD'ing and then they are blaming everyone except for their stupid selves. They read the packaging that specifically tells them the ages in which it is for and yet they continue to give to children under that age without first speaking with a doctor. Why should the drug manufactuers have to reformulate all these medications? It isnt their fault parents are idiots and refuse to read directions. So remember the next time you have a sick kid, wether it be a son, daughter, brother, sister, cousin or whatever.... dont be a dumb ass and give the child anything unless the box says you can.

Lately I have found myself being kept busy by my grand-daughter. Last night ric and I both received invites from her to join bebo. I haven't joined but have checked out the site today. It's not somewhere my ten year old grandchild needs to be. I talked to her mom, my daughter, today about it. What can I say. This site is more than I could have ever imagained. Never found one place whre you can meet such a wide variety of people. Here you can talk to individuals from her in the US or as far away as you can imagaine. You can get your heart shattered one day, and the next met someoen who makes you fel like your flying. One Year Anniversary!!

Good Morning all.... Well, last night at work was one of the toughest that a nurse has to face. We had a patient whose health was declining for about 5 days. She lived a good life though, she was 100 years old. It was a very difficult night to say the least. It was my first work realted death. No one ever prepares or teaches you how to deal with this when you are training to be a nurse. No one tells you how best to deal with the patient or the family or your peers for that matter. some recent events have started me thinking again. recently i found out a dear friend of mine was, according to the doctors, about an hour from death after waiting in the ER for some pelvic pain she had been having. come to find out she had a phlopian tube that was on the verge of bursting and had already hemeraged. luckly they rushed her in for emergency operation that saved her life. then one of the women i love, yes i love more then one, found her dad this morning when she checked on him passed away from a long hard battle with cancer. in a way its relieving that has finally had gone and didnt have to suffer the pain anymore that he had for some time. i only wish that i would have had the chance to meet him. yet another friend of mine had her father pass away from mutliple battles with cancer the first of the year. i did have the oppertunity to become friends with her dad. he was a strong man and had battle cancer for some time beating it once only to have it come back

My Thoughts
So this evening myself and curt will be going to retreive the rest of my furniture and such at my old place. Its gonna be a long nite, but good. Personal Rant
I was asked today by my SO why I have seemed so angry lately and why I seemed to pull away from her lately. I am currently 500 miles away from her and didn't want to go over it on the phone. Here it is in a nutshell.... It seems that I can never initiate intimacy. It ALWAYS has to be her show. Then she makes promises (of a risque nature) and then doesn't follow through. Concert
I went to the KISS ALIVE concert last night at Magic City Music Hall last night and it was great. KISS ALVIE is a KISS tribute band and they matched the origional so well. If you wernet a die hard kiss fan you really couldnt tlel the difference between them and the origional band. I had such a great time. I was so hyped up watchin them nad listening to them play. My fav kiss member is the demon anyway so I made sure i was really close to him. Today I get a phone call from my niece that lives in Roff Ok. And she tells me that her cousin a Jennifer had died on Monday by a train, this girl had her future ahead of her she was going to be going to OU and playing softball for them. And now she won't, my niece and Uncle are both being very strong right now. Snow Keeps Piling Up
On Feb. 17, 2008 a total of 0.93 of liquid precipitation fell by 11 am when it switched over to snow which fell steadily till 3:30 pm. Strong winds blew the 2.8" of snow around and there were whiteouts in the rural areas. Some of te roads drifted shut again. The barometer fell to a low of 29.05" which is the 2nd lowest reading ever recored for the month of February. The total snowfall for February stands at 34.0" which is also our 2nd snowiest month ever. Only January total stands at 67.7". We set a daily record for precipitation on Feb. 17 with 1.20". Our 34.0" for the first 17 days of February is also a new record for any month. While the first half of February was below normal, last year, the first 15 days were over 14 degrees colder. The first 10 days saw below readings. With 3.84" of precipitation so far this month, we are now in 2nd place for the wettest February, only 2001 with 4.19" had more.

Life's Lessons
Tonight I was playing video games in the truck stop and I kept hearing someone making noises that sounded like they were having their own one person party. I turned to look and saw a little chubby Mexican guy playing the free machine. He was hooping it up every time that his little game character did anything, including dieing. I kind of shook my head and chuckled. That's when he noticed me laughing and decided to talk to me. Long story short, in his broken English, he gave his life story to me over dinner. He had only recently became a citizen in the US. He worked 41 years of his adult life to be here legally. He told me of his struggles in Mexico, and the things he and his family had gone through to do things the right way. Some of the stories he told brought tears to my eyes. Im about less than 3 months away from my wedding day. Good morning, All! It's 4am, ugh, and I woke up about 45 minutes ago aching all over. My Advil was calling in a loud voice. LOL Joey and I walked around Super K last night for about an hour. I'm learning that's a bad thing to do. But what's a girl to do when she can't shop? Geez! :-P Seriously though...as I try to do a little more each day, I'm finding that it's the little things like making my bed or emptying a waste basket that add up to more pain. Lifeless Lives
My eyes opened, and my heart closed. My tears flow, while my body slows. My touch is firm, while my taste is bitter. My life lives, while my body dies. Where can we feel, taste, live and flow without all of the tension life may bring. We try to show how our true feelings may flow. But with All of the harm that others cause. Can always make our true hearts stop. Without any love anywheres and also without anyone to care. These tears we shed flows down our cheeks. While other people look at us as we are weak. They just have no clue. It's people like you, who are the strongest. Because at least we do release a tear or two. To releave us of our torturous pain. But they are the ones who are going insane. Helping A Friend
"What a Loser He Turned Out to Be..." . If only I was able to collect some monetary fee every time I had to hear that line. Hell, I'd be charging myself just as much as I would my friends. The thing that's most interesting about that statement is that he didn't "turn out" to be a loser. He always was one. We just didn't see it until reality was slapping us in the face. For whatever reason, when we meet someone new, there is a delicious sense of novelty swirling in the air around them. Or maybe it's those alcohol fumes. At any rate, we end up light headed and don't see the signs in front of us. We wax over obvious details. We build his image up in our minds into something that doesn't even resemble the person in front of us. If it's anyone's fault that he "turns out" to be a loser.... it's ours. The same could be said about how men are with women. As long as she is attractive enough and deems you worthy enough to fuck, you'll overlook just about anything
