New Semester
Well the web page that allows me access to all my classes became availble today. I am talking 12 hours, 4 classes, they are "Special topics in Mortuary science", "Mortuary Management II", "Mortuary Jurisprudence" and " Sociology of death and dying". Well looking at my class schedule, and the assigments. I am going to be one busy puppy. And it looks like I am going to be doing a lot of writing. After this semester I will only have 12 more hours till I will have my license for funeral director and then will get to start all the fun classes for my embalmer license. Well at least I have a couple days headstart on my classes (another small advantage to taking classes online, the regular students have to wait till monday to find out what they are into. Well wish me luck. and don't be offended if I don't drop by your pages much, I am going to be one very very busy guy, and I will try to keep you updated as things move along.

well all is going well this week. had job interview weds @ 12.30 ,for duty manager @ BP. Interview went very well and had a phone call an hour later saying that I'll be getting a phone call from the area manager the next day (Thurs) He rang about 4 o'clock and we arranged to meet today(Fri) when he was in the area. Another phone call today at 2.30 saying he will be at the place I had my interview in about 40 mins and could I meet him then for a informal chat. i was offered the job there and then. will be getting my start date asap and will begin a 8-10 week training course.

New Times, But Not Always Better Times
As some here know I had some rather bad news recently. The left side of my larynx is paralyzed/nonfunctioning. This is the final result of a surgery 12 years ago which nicked/cut the nerve controlling that side of my voicebox, so while I can speak (some) there is neither volume nor staying power to my voice. Thus I have not been around much online as I most enjoyed talking via audio. Yes, of course, I can still type - but doing that for a living leaves me hating to do it in "chats". I will adjust and I will make do with what I have, tho carefully as continued strain on the remaining right side that works is NOT a good idea. So no more 2 pots of coffee per day, nor much of any thing that has caffiene in it. Yes I will still enjoy a cup of coffee or even two a day, but that's a far cry from what I used to drink. Well today my classes started... so I'm caught reading my assignments and being nervous about doing well in school, after 20 years. Home life is going as well as can be expected with the twist that my honey makes me smile and laugh and is so supportive. I'm not sure what I'd do without him. Going to work is turning into a destested formality... I feel taken advantage of and passed over for a job well done. I was over seeing Steven today, he is doing amazingly good. He is finished his chemo treatment for now but due to go back in 3 months time to the hospital for a check up to see if the cancer is still dormant. As you can see from the photo his hair is starting to grow back as well and he is putting on weight again. The district nurse still comes in everyday to give him an injection to help to control his potassium levels.

I recently went to Birmingham, AL to visit my best friend. While I was there, her boyfriend took me to the shooting range. it was the first time I had eve shot a gun. Steve started me off with a barney fife .38. I didnt do so well. Next, he coached me on a 380- again not so well. Finally, the .45 came around and yep not so well. After a few more rounds- I gained the 'line of sight' and it was on. Head shots rang out on my targets and I was having fun. Well I guess I just needed to vent. So he it goes. I really don't understand what men want. I was with a man for 6 yrs and thought it was going well. He was my best friend. I was just thinking today how much my life has changed since last year. I have moved on to a better relationship and a better man. Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve..and didn't get wasted. I did. Went skiing..and only fell once. LOL. Was pretty fun. My brother n law and sis n law went.. and didn't get much skiing done. She got sick the instant she got on the hill.. I think from fear. Was her 3rd time. Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve. I went to a party at a neighbours house. The first time I have been out on December 31st in years. My neighbours from two doors down decided to through a big party for friends and neighbours. There basement is just one big room which they use for parties. Even has disco balls and lights. Anyway I ended up being DJ for the evening. That was great had not been a DJ since school. I only played two Gary Numan tracks so I think no-one got pissed off with me lol.
