The Saga Of Getting That Placement
When Sept 26th came up I was full of apprehension as this was really the start of another chapter... was it going to be frustration and rejection (neither of which I enjoy!) or was there going to be a chink of light. I just called the Vet and canceled the rest of Samantha’s Chemotherapy sessions. The cancer has gone into a second lymph node and in the 2 weeks since we discovered the second node they’ve both grown. She’s still acting like a very happy energetic kitty, especially for being 17 years old. The folks at the Vet’s office said that she really acts like a much younger cat and can’t get over how sweet she is no matter what they’re doing to her. So, we’re going to hang out for a while, and when she starts to show that she’s in pain, I’ll take her to go to sleep. The reality being that before christ every year we had to travel to the nearest priest and give to him our best works of the year as a sacrofice for our sins. Our best cow, biggest bud, biggest paycheck from work, whatever. If you still had to do that every year what would you want for christmas? Ya. Youd want it back wouldnt you. I Think Santa Claus Is A Woman... I hate to be the one to defy sacred myth, but I believe he's a she. Think about it. Christmas is a big, organized, warm, fuzzy, nurturing social deal, and I have a tough time believing a guy could possibly pull it all off! T'was the night before Christmas and all through the town, no noses were frozen, no snow fluttered down, no children in flannels were tucked into bed, they all wore shorty pajamas instead.
