Sometimes people do or say things that come out of no where it seems. I just wanted to keep a long of things i found interesting or amusing people come up with. For instance: As I am typing my last blog I looked out the window to see a horse in my front yard. Why my neighbor has temporarily brought home yet another horse I do not know. So it has been forever since I have blogged. Not much has changed really, as always I am just working and going to school...getting out to have fun here and there. So for the last 5 months I have been taking care of my family. Mainly my Dad and Mom since both have illnesses. My Mom has diabetes and my Dad has liver and pancrease cancer. Today has been the roughest day so far I think. My dad is not doing so well. He's in the hospital and anything he eats goes right through him. His pancrease isn't working right and breaking down on him. I could potentially loose him this year if something doesn't work soon. Aside from finding this out, my cousin, who hasn't talked to anyone in my family for 6 years, decides to show up to the hospital. Ok, whaatever but my mom flipped out. Random Thoughts And Feelings
I was in a car accident on Friday. I was turning left from my road to the main one and these guys in this Explorer hit me and flipped over onto the roof of their SUV. My car sustained some damage to the passenger side front bumper and on the hood (passenger side as well) but their vehicle was pretty much totaled. One guy had to go to the hospital and get checked out (both police officers and EMTs told me he was fine) and the other guy didn't speak English. I think they were just flying down Blue Lick Rd for them to flip over after impact. I mean, my air bag didn't even deploy and it's still drivable (other than the embarrassing body damage). So now, until I get my car fixed, I'm pretty much stuck at home. Unless I can talk someone into driving to the south end of Louisville to come rescue me for a bit. I'll let you know about any updates. But I'm still pretty shook up from the whole incident. But fucking hell, can't life give me a chance to catch my breath before it knocks it

For those of you unaware, mead it fermented honey, much like wine if fermented grapes. I brew mead. I'm also going to try an experiment this weekend. I'm going to throw on a batch of vegetable mead, with carrots, squash and likely sweet potatoes. All are wonderful with both honey and each other, therefore there shouldn't be any problem with it tasting 'funny'. All I need to do is pick up both the carrots, a purply-red varietal grown here and the4 sweet potatoes. Should turn a lovely dark purple colour. Otherwise, I have on batches of maple-blueberry, lemon-lime, lemon-ginger, apple (made with a local varietal of apple called a viking), strawberry, pear, holly berry, grape, and cherry... So I have realized again today that no matter how badly you want something to go smoothly it never does. People will repeatedly disappoint you and there is really nothing that can be done about it unless you wish to give up on it all. When I first came back to the fu last night there were alot of people asking where I had been. Here is the story for those that want to know. Approximately 2 months ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Anyone that knows anything about this type of cancer knows the battle I face ahead of me. At the age of 31 I had never been in ambulance as a patient untill yesterday and I would be content if it never happened again. Here's the story...yesterday morning while getting ready for work my hands and feet started to itch and burn (great an allergic reaction i figured) so i take some benadryl and keep getting ready for work when before i know it my hands are swelling my eyes are swollen and lips are huge (and not sexy big but scary big) and then within 5 minutes my throat started to swell shut and i couldn't breathe (in total this took maybe 20 minutes). Earlier today I was in such a great mood. I did not realize the date until I called my mom and she told me to say a prayer for my dad. I sat and thought about it. Today is April 22nd. He died 7 years ago today. While I did pray I felt horrible for almost forgetting. I felt guilty as though I had forgotten my father and the memories I had of him. Right now I am sitting here just reflecting and I miss that man. He was such an amazing father and such a great husband to my mother. PTSD is a bitch. I had the first opportunity to get out of the house in months and it did'nt turn out well. Steve took his eyes off the road for a second and started veering toward a guard rail and that was all it took to send me into flashbacks and panic attacks. I've finally figured out who I'm voting for in each election that my home address allows me to. Sadly, I had to spend Christmas and the New Years alone. As a result I've been trollin' Fubar and trying to find a lounge that I fit in with. It never fails to amaze me how many friend requests I get that assume I'm a chick because of my profile pic. Apparently reading is over-rated. Besides... The only real time is this moment all others do not exist. I believe we should live in the current moment as much as possible it is really the only time we have any control over. You know there are times when I envy machines. They feel nothing at all. They are unbiased, analytical, calculating, unemotional machines for lack of a better term. They don't feel pain, remorse, heartache, jealousy, fear, hate, nothing. They go about their existance with nothing but the task at hand concerning them. If they ever do something wrong it is corrected in a millisecond and no one is the wiser. When an equation comes along that does not compute it is rejected and moves on to the next in line. Nothing ever confuses or concerns a machine and nothing ever will. It will make a life or death desicsion before it's even thought of in a human mind. This probably does not make sense but at times.....I really do envy them.

So one of my sisters recent started dating someone, no biggie in and of itself. However, they've been dating for a little over a month now and already her kids are suffering because of it. Staying out til all hours of the night, staying at his place, having him come sleep at my dad's house(lives there with her 3 kids) are all things she's taken to doing each week. I don't mind her happiness in fact I'm glad she finally isn't such a lonely crabby bitch. What's bothering me though is that both of her daughters now at separate times have asked me to adopt them because they don't think their mother loves them anymore now that she has a man. I started crying today when my niece (she's 6) asked me that because I don't think a child should ever doubt their mother's love.
